Following the standout performance of El Hijo Del Vikingo on the March 22 AEW Dynamite, many fans have been clamouring for more from the AAA Mega Champion on AEW TV.
According to Fightful Select (Subscription Required) Vikingo is currently working without an AEW contract, and instead has been working on a nightly deal.
The same can also be said of other Dralistico – who has appeared on ROH TV and Kommander who had a standout performance in the Face of the Revolution Ladder match.
While as of yet, none of the above have signed on the dotted line with AEW, Fightful has importantly noted that:
“Over the past year, in numerous cases, when a lucha talent would appear on AEW TV without a contract, they’d quickly be contacted by WWE.”
If Fightful are correct, then AEW better act fast, especially given WWE recently picked up Dralistico’s brother Dragon Lee for their NXT brand.
Prior to his signing with AEW, WWE had previously been interested in another lucha star Bandido.
El Hijo Del Vikingo and Kommander are set to meet one-on-one at Friday 31 March’s ROH Supercard of Honor event from the Galen Center in Los Angeles, California.
