Latest On Backstage Reaction To MJF Drama At Double Or Nothing AEW

With Double or Nothing fast approaching and the Buy-In already started, there continues to be an excess of speculation around MJF.

We’ve previously recapped the goings-on here but now in the latest update from Fightful Select has further details about the reception to the situation from the rest of the locker room.

Over the past day, talent was speculating as to whether or not MJF was going to show for Double or Nothing but while some thought perhaps it could be an elaborate ruse from MJF’s perspective, they wouldn’t however commit to the idea that Tony Khan would also be for lack of a better phrase, working his own locker room.

Most of the talent was reportedly “in the “I don’t know, this is crazy” camp,” although Fightful confirmed that talent and staff were requested to not comment on the matter publicly.

Interestingly one tidbit that has come out is that MJF expected that “something would likely have to break” in Las Vegas since both MJF and Tony Khan would be working closely around each other for the week as AEW took over Las Vegas for Dynamite, Rampage and now culminating in Double or Nothing.

As of the time of writing, the preview package for Wardlow vs. MJF was being aired on the AEW Double or Nothing preshow, the Buy-In though it remains to be seen if the match will end up occurring.

We will reportedly have an answer sooner rather than later as Wardlow vs. MJF is said to be internally listed as occurring at the top of the show.
