Here is the latest news regarding the status of Brock Lesnar following the news that his WWE contract has expired and he’s officially a free agent.
Fightful Select reports that WWE is not overly worried about the situation right now, with a source noting that: “This happens every year. This year, a little longer than usual. But nothing new”.
Reliable Twitter source WrestleVotes has noted that the belief is when Brock Lesnar is ready to work again he’ll let Vince McMahon know, and from the other side of things, if WWE is desperate for him to return at some point, he’ll be made an offer he can’t refuse.
Lesnar has been off WWE TV since WrestleMania 36 when he lost the WWE Title to Drew McIntyre. He’s currently living in Canada meaning he can’t even travel to shows anyway due to the COVID-19 pandemic travel restrictions.
Dave Meltzer has also said that WWE is in no hurry to get a new deal sorted right now as there are no plans in place for Lesnar at this moment.
It was added that Lesnar’s merch deal with the company has expired, and thus all his merch has been taken off of WWE’s online shop. He’s still listed as an active member of the Raw roster on WWE.com.
