An update has emerged on AEW star Riho’s injury status, and how long she is expected to be out of action for.
The inaugural AEW Women’s Champion has confirmed that she had suffered a broken collarbone, and had returned to Japan to recover.
Per Dave Meltzer on a recent edition of Wrestling Observer Radio, Riho is expected to be on the shelf for around three months. Meltzer stated that Riho picked up the injury during her AEW Women’s Title bout against Britt Baker at Battle of the Belts on January 8.
The injury reportedly happened early on in the match. Despite this, Riho impressively finished the bout as planned.
