The latest update on the status of Cody Rhodes with WWE and AEW has been revealed today.
Per Fightful Select, the creative end in WWE is “uncertain” about Cody Rhodes’ possible return despite chatter and pitches regarding Rhodes and Seth Rollins at WrestleMania.
One source within WWE said “nothing had changed” as far as they know in regards to Rhodes.
Fightful reached out directly to Cody on Saturday, who said “I logged on earlier and saw some wild stuff – these are mad times.”
When asked to elaborate, Rhodes sent a picture of his dogs. He seemed very well aware of the online speculation.
The speculation among AEW talent is that the deal with Cody and WWE was off. There was no concrete information given though.
There is word that “something worth looking out for” on Cody’s future will be in the Hollywood trades, meaning Variety, Deadline, etc.
