Latest Update On MJF Vs. Wardlow At Double Or Nothing AEW

It’s a new day in Las Vegas, yes it is! And it seems MJF vs. Wardlow at All Elite Wrestling’s hotly-anticipated pay-per-view Double or Nothing might still be on.

Certainly capturing attention over the past 24 hours has been the evolving story of Maxwell Jacob Friedman and AEW after reports first surfaced on Twitter that MJF was not present at the AEW Fan Fest Meet & Greet.

The first sign of trouble was MJF not appearing as scheduled at AEW Fan Fest’s Meet & Greet. The signing was a separately ticketed, pre-paid Meet & Greet within AEW Fan Fest, not a general appearance at the event.

When a security guard shared with people in attendance that MJF hadn’t shown up and wasn’t answering his phone, things began to seem amiss.

After buzz about the on-the-ground reports began being shared, verified reports began circulating regarding missing the Meet & Greet from the likes of PWInsider, Fightful with a comment that the communication between AEW and MJF reached an “all-time low.”

There had also been a plane flight booked for MJF to leave Las Vegas on a cross-country red-eye flight.

It has been since reported that MJF did not board the plane.

And now the only substantive update from AEW directly as they’ve posted a video to their official YouTube channel previewing the match between MJF and Wardlow this morning.

Perhaps to indicate to fans and pundits alike that the match will still go on as planned or possibly a pre-scheduled social media post, we won’t know until the pay-per-view and the match itself happens whether or not MJF will show up.

Adding to the intrigue, the tweet about the video being posted was deleted although the actual YouTube clip remains.

AEW Double or Nothing is set to kick off from Las Vegas, Nevada with a free pre-show, The Buy-In streaming live and free starting at 7:00pm Eastern, 4:00pm Pacific on AEW’s YouTube channel featuring the in-ring debut of HookHausen taking on Mark Sterling and Tony Nese.
