AEW’s Lee Moriarty has been announced for the upcoming MLW Opera Cup 2021. The tournament will commence at MLW Fightland on October 2.
With Moriarty being added to the mix, there is one competitor left to be named. Tom Lawlor, Matt Cross, Davey Richards, TJP, Calvin Tankman and former NXT star Bobby Fish had previously been announced for the tournament.

Davey Boy Smith Jr (Harry Smith) was victorious in the 2019 iteration of the tournament, while Tom Lawlor won the 2020 MLW Opera Cup.
Moriarty made his AEW debut last month against Dante Martin on the August 17 episode of Dark. The independent stand-out was offered an AEW contract following his match with Daniel Garcia during Dark: Elevation tapings last week.
AEW has now announced the promotion’s return to Chicago, Illinois for an episode of Dynamite in November.
