Ruffin’s opponent was not revealed in the announcement.
The former champion last wrestled for WWE in July, defeating Grayson Waller during a 205 Live taping. Ruffin was then released on August 6, along with a number of other NXT talents.
Following the releases, NXT underwent a complete reboot, now focusing on larger and younger athletes, opposed to experienced independent names.
