Leon Slater has already made an impact on NXT, but now has his sights set on a championship match against a main roster star.
With multiple appearances on NXT, including recently challenging for the brand’s Tag Team Championship alongside Je’Von Evans, the ‘Youngest In Charge’ is the current X-Division Champion in TNA Wrestling.
Having had a ‘passing of the torch‘ moment with AJ Styles previously, Leon Slater has ambitions to face a WWE main roster.
Following a fan noting that Chris Sabin in a 10-time X-Division Champion, Slater laid out something of a challenge on Twitter, posting:
“WONDER IF HE COULD GET AN 11TH 🤔”
Slater is yet to make a main roster debut in WWE, with the partnership with TNA Wrestling focusing that relationship on NXT, although Joe Hendry did have his WrestleMania debut this year.
The TNA Wrestling star has been X-Division Champion since defeating Moose at Slammiversary in July.
Sabin and Alex Shelley recently reflected on their one-year anniversary of signing with WWE, with the Motor City Machine Guns having already held the WWE Tag Team Championship.
The Motor City Machine Guns have recently seen NXT action at a non-televised live show, teaming with Ricky Saints and defeating Josh Briggs, Lexis King & Trick Williams back in October of this year.
At the time of writing, Sabin has yet to answer the suggestion of a match against Leon Slater.
