
The reason that newly-inducted WWE Hall of Famer Lex Luger was absent from the Class of 2025 appearance at WrestleMania 41 has been revealed.
Night One of WrestleMania 41 saw the Class of 2025 appear on stage, with Triple H, Michelle McCool, Steve Austin, Bret Hart, Tugboat and teh family of John Tenta being seen by the fans.
Lex Luger was absent from the celebration, and a recent appearance on The Ariel Helwani Show saw the Hall of Famer reveal why.
With Luger revealed he took a fall at the airport trying to get into his wheelchair ahead of the Hall of Fame ceremony during is induction speech, it was revealed that the length of the event also took its toll, explaining:
“The next day, on Saturday, I could hardly get out of bed. So I just called the guys and they were so cool about it and said, ‘Look, we’d love to have you down there. Let’s see how you feel later today.’
“But it was obvious by late afternoon that time that I wasn’t going to be able to get out there.”
Luger was able to make a scheduled WrestleCon appearance on Saturday, April 19, with Sting sharing a photo of their reunion alongside Kevin Nash on Threads..
Ahead of the WWE Hall of Fame, it was revealed that Nick Khan was behind the decision to not have Sting induct Luger.
