Lex Luger has opened up about how he will approach his WWE Hall of Fame speech and who he wants to induct him.
On March 7, 2025, Luger was announced as the latest name to be inducted into this year’s WWE Hall of Fame class.
Speaking on 83 Weeks, Luger would reveal how he would like to approach his induction speech by talking from the heart, saying:
“I speak at recovery centers and at churches and stuff. I’m not good at scripted, like an iPad outline. I like to just speak from the heart and be extemporaneous, speak when I speak. “
He would also reveal that he’s hoping to have two guys to induct him into the WWE Hall of Fame, saying that he’s working on walking for the ceremony.
Revealing that he wants to have both Sting and Diamond Dallas Page at the induction ceremony, he went on to state:
“So I’m like, well, guys, can I have…has anybody had two guys? Because I’ll probably want to do just a few minutes from my heart when I get up there.
“DDP and I have been trying to work on the walk. We’re not there yet. So I go, we’re hoping, but man, if I could have my two guys up there with me, man, DDP on my shoulder kind of spotting me and Sting on the other, if it’s possible. I go, man, that would be amazing.
“So we shall see. If I have anything to say about that, that would be my pick. That would be, for me, the ultimate. That would be pretty cool, that would be amazing. For me, at least.”
Lex Luger has been working with DDP since being restricted to a wheelchair, going on to say their relationship started at AEW Revolution 2024 for Sting’s retirement.
Having been wheelchair reliant since 2021, footage recently emerged of Luger being able to stand thanks to DDP.
The 2025 WWE Hall of Fame will take place on Friday, April 18, with Michelle McCool and Triple H also announced for the ceremony.
