Following on from his performance at WrestleMania 39 Night One, multi-platinum record selling rapper Lil Uzi Vert has paid tribute to a popular WWE star in a song from his brand new album.
The song in question, ‘Nakamura’, comes from Uzi’s June 30 release titled ‘The Pink Tape’, and unsurprisingly given the title, the song samples the Shinsuke Nakamura’s beloved WWE entrance theme, ‘The Rising Sun’.
Fans have since reacted to the new drop on social media, with both wrestling and Uzi fan shocked but seemingly very happy with the final results of the track.
One Twitter user noted his surprise at Uzi’s choice of sample saying:
Uzi rapping over Shinsuke Nakamura’s theme wasn’t something I expected, at all.
Another user tweeted their joy at the results of Uzi’s use of the theme, saying:
OMGGG lil uzi sampling shinsuke nakamura’s theme song, this is so sick
While WrestleMania 39 was Uzi’s first appearance for the company, he seemingly teased more in the future, even stating his wish for a match at the grandest stage of them all against one of the company’s top heels Dominik Mysterio.
WrestleMania 40 does take place in Uzi’s hometown of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania next April.

WWE is of course on the verge of its first major event in England for over 20 years with Money in the Bank from London’s 02 Arena.
