Vince McMahon’s retirement from WWE is still the talk of the wrestling world a week later, with Stephanie McMahon and Nick Khan being named co-CEOs, and Triple H being named head of creative.
Vince’s wife Linda McMahon officially exited her role as CEO of WWE back in 2009 to pursue her political career.
Linda was asked about Vince’s retirement during a media appearance for the America First Policy Institute. After initially stating that she wasn’t going to comment on the issue, she then stated:
“You know what, he’ll just be deciding on how he’s going to spend his free time. I think that’s a good thing.”
Vince’s retirement came after multiple allegations, with him resigning his role on the company’s Board of Directors, as Chairman, as head of creative and as CEO. He is subject to an ongoing investigation by the WWE Board of Directors and, per the Wall Street Journal, several potential federal and criminal investigations as well.
