New AEW signing Lio Rush has taken to social media to share a backstage photo with Mark Henry from last night’s show.
This is significant because Rush and Henry have gone back-and-forth in the past, after Rush apparently wasn’t happy about his pay in WWE and Henry’s response was that he should have managed his money better.
Rush and Henry both made their AEW debuts at Double Or Nothing in May, after which Rush tweeted:
For those of you wondering….Yes me and Mark Henry had a long in depth conversation last night. Looking forward to the future.
After Double Or Nothing, Rush announced his retirement from wrestling after aggravating an injury during the Casino Battle Royale, but he came back out of retirement and Khan teased he was joining AEW a couple of weeks ago.
It has now been made official after a video package aired during last night’s show and a “Lio Rush is All Elite” graphic being posted on Twitter by AEW.
