Lio Rush Calls Out WWE Hall Of Famer For Criticising His Money Management

Recently released WWE star Lio Rush has called out a Hall of Famer for accusing him of not being able to manage his money properly while in WWE.

That Hall of Famer is Mark Henry, who seemed to suggest Rush was out of line for wanting a raise in WWE, saying he simply should have managed his money better. However, Henry claimed that when he tried to help Rush, he was simply told their was nothing wrong backstage, something he believed was Rush blatantly lying to his face.

Rush has revealed in interviews that while he was on the main roster as Bobby Lashley’s manager, he was working that schedule but still only getting paid the same as he was while in NXT, and the company didn’t want to give him a raise.

This is why his partnership with Lashley ended somewhat abruptly and he went back to NXT before being released last month. He simply was working too much with too little pay to be able to sufficiently support his family.

Today, Rush tweeted:

Woke up remembering the time Mark Henry said I lied to him to his face & then continued to bury me on his podcast while telling me i need to learn how to spend my money better. Shit was crazy. Sorry man, i didn’t mean to have a wife and two kids on top of other responsibilities.

Henry then invited Rush onto his podcast for a chat and to promote his new album, to which Rush replied:

I’m promoting the album just fine on my own. I’d rather keep this about the situation. I’ll be free later on in the evening today. Just let me know a good time frame within the next few hrs.

There was some more back-and-forth between the two, and it now looks like Rush is going to be joining Henry on his podcast for a man-to-man discussion.

Of course, it could get pretty spicy, so be sure to stay tuned for any updates on how the chat goes.
