Lio Rush Dedicates AEW Dynamite Debut To Grandmother Who Just Passed Away

Lio Rush makes his AEW Dynamite in-ring debut tonight (November 10), and the match just became a whole lot more emotional for him.

Rush revealed on Twitter the sad news that his grandmother passed away from a heart attack. He wrote:

Just got some rough news that my grandmother has sadly passed from a heart attack. We talked about how she looked forward to seeing me wrestle on TV again. Tomorrow I’ll be making my @AEW debut without my grandmother. But i know she will still be watching. This is for you.

Rush teams with Dante Martin tonight against the team of Matt Sydal and Lee Moriarty.

He was previously supposed to make his Rampage debut a couple of weeks ago alongside Martin against Sydal and his brother Mike, but Mike suffered an injury and the match was changed to just Martin vs Matt.

We send our condolences to Lio Rush and his family, but we’re sure he’ll do his grandmother proud tonight.
