WWE Hall of Famer Lita made her first appearance on SmackDown in nearly 20 years last night (January 14), when she said that she feels like she has another run in her.
Lita came to the ring for an in-ring interview with Michael Cole, when she ran down her career accomplishments, including main eventing Raw with Trish Stratus, and being inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame.
Lita then said that she feels like she has one more run left in her, before she was interrupted by SmackDown Women’s Champion Charlotte Flair. Lita ended up dropping Flair with a Twist of Fate to end the segment.
The original Women’s Championship plans for WrestleMania saw Charlotte defending her championship against Sasha Banks. However, Sasha is currently out of action with a foot injury, so WWE may have changed plans.
Charlotte vs Lita at WrestleMania perhaps? Sounds like a plan to me.
Both Charlotte and Lita are set to be a part of the 2022 Women’s Royal Rumble match, you can see a full list of confirmed participants here.
Fightful revealed last night that Lita held talks with All Elite Wrestling last year to come in for a major program.
