Lita Says WWE Threatened To Fire Her If She Didn’t Do The Live Sex Celebration

One of the most infamous segments of WWE’s Ruthless Aggression era was the Live Sex Celebration. The night after Edge won his first WWE Championship, he promised to have sex with Lita live in the ring on Raw.

Needless to say, intercourse was not going to occur on live television but this was still a segment Lita had issues with doing. On a recent edition of her Twitch stream, she revealed that she was told she would be fired if she refused to do the segment, via WhatCulture.

WWE has come a long way in the last 15 years but threatening someone’s job over refusing a risque segment is dicey regardless of the era. Lita also said on the 2012 WWE DVD “You Think You Know Me: The Story of Edge” that she was told she had to be completely nude under the covers. Unfortunately, this did lead to one of Lita’s breasts being exposed before the camera cut away.

During the stream, Lita mentioned that the segment was protested by herself, Edge, John Cena and other crew members. However, Vince McMahon was adamant about going ahead with it.

The segment took place on January 9, 2006 and saw Ric Flair and John Cena interrupt the proceedings.
