SmackDown Women’s Champion Liv Morgan has opened up her match at Clash At The Castle, explaining why the event legitimately made her emotional.
At the event, Liv Morgan defended her title against Shayna Baszler in singles action. Speaking with BT Sport, Morgan admitted that her emotions at the end of the bout were genuine.
Explaining why she cried after the bout, Morgan said:
“That was probably the hardest match of my whole entire life. Shayna hit so damn hard, she brought her A-game. So I was just happy and emotional just to keep this (championship). And also, just have the opportunity. The crowd, the electricity, it felt so momentous that it just touched me.
“I prepared for this. I had training sessions with Riddle, I thought that anything she threw at me, I’d be ready for. But she also had a few tricks up her sleeve.”
In the main event of the show, Roman Reigns retained his Undisputed WWE Universal Championship against Drew McIntyre, following an assist from Solo Sikoa.
An update has emerged on Reigns’ WWE future and next title defence, which you can read about right here.
