WWE Changing Plans After Liv Morgan Injury

WWE Changing Plans After Liv Morgan Injury WWE

Liv Morgan’s recent injury has reportedly caused changes to be made to an upcoming WWE Premium Live Event.

Morgan suffered a dislocated shoulder at the start of her match on the June 16 episode of WWE Raw.

The injury was severe enough for the match to be rapidly brought to an end, with Kairi Sane being declared the winner and Michael Cole later confirming Morgan’s injury.

With Nikki Bella having recently returned and confronted Morgan, it appeared that the pair would square off in some capacity at WWE Evolution, the all-women’s PLE taking place on July 13.

It’s now being reported that the match is not only not happening, but that the implications have stretched beyond Liv Morgan vs. Nikki Bella for the show.

Speaking on Sportskeeda’s WrestleBinge, WrestleVotes reported that WWE has “started from scratch” when it comes to planning Evolution, stating:

“I was told this morning that this injury has now caused a lot of the Evolution card to basically be scrapped, ripped up, and started from scratch because she was pegged for a big-time tag team match that is not going to happen now.

“That spot is gonna be filled by somebody else, and it’s going to have a lot of ripple effects.”

At the time of writing, it isn’t clear who will face Nikki Bella at the first WWE Evolution since 2018.

Morgan is one-half of the WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions, alongside Raquel Rodriguez.

As previously noted, the injury is being treated as a “freak occurrence” with WWE waiting to learn the severity of the dislocation as of June 17.

WrestleTalk will provide further details on Liv Morgan as they emerge, and wish Morgan a safe and healthy recovery.
