An update has emerged on Liv Morgan following the WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion suffering an injury on Monday Night Raw.
Liv Morgan’s match against Kairi Sane on the June 17 Raw episode ended early, with Morgan taken to the back during the commercial break and Sane declared the winner following Morgan seemingly suffering a shoulder injury.
Michael Cole later said on commentary that Morgan had suffered a dislocated shoulder.
PWInsider has shared a new update on Morgan’s status, confirming that this was a 100% legitimate injury, and that Morgan was checked over by WWE’s medical team immediately after being brought backstage.
It was added that the injury is being viewed within WWE as a “freak occurrence”, with there being no heat on anyone.
As of writing (June 17), WWE is waiting to learn the severity of the dislocation, which will determine how long Liv Morgan will be absent from in-ring action.
The report pointed out that if it’s a severe dislocation, Morgan could be out of action for upwards of 16 weeks, however this is dependent on the final diagnosis, which Liv Morgan is currently waiting on.
Morgan appeared to set up a feud with Nikki Bella prior to this injury, notably attacking her on the June 9 show.
We will provide updates on Liv Morgan’s status as they become available, and we wish her all the best in her recovery.
