Liv Morgan Recalls Reaction To Vince McMahon WWE Exit WWE

SmackDown Women’s Champion Liv Morgan has reacted to the change in WWE management, with Vince McMahon announcing his retirement.

Vince McMahon confirmed his WWE exit on Friday (July 22). WWE then revealed that Stephanie McMahon and Nick Khan will be the new co-CEOs of the company.

It was later confirmed that Triple H will be heading up WWE creative following Vince’s departure.

Speaking with the Mirror, Liv Morgan noted that the announcements surprised everyone. Noting that the roster is excited for the future, Morgan said:

“We were all shocked. And it felt sudden. But we all owe so much to Vince. So if he felt like it was time, then it was time. We’re also excited to be working with Stephanie and Nick [Khan, the other co-CEO). Stephanie was born into this business, so there’s literally no one better for the job than her.

“We’re all so excited and we’re just ready to go to work. We’re all just ready to take it to the next level.”

Commenting on Triple H taking over WWE creative, Morgan said:

“We’re excited. We’re in great hands.”

Morgan won the SmackDown Women’s Title from Ronda Rousey at Money in the Bank, after cashing in the contract she won earlier that night.

The new champ will defend her gold against Rousey in a title rematch at SummerSlam on Saturday (July 30).
