LIVE COVERAGE – WWE Hell in a Cell 2018 – WrestleTalk

03:45am

That finish summed up the entire show for me, really.

A bit weird and largely pointless.

Hooray!

Thanks for following our live coverage, though.

03:42am

And now he’s just walked off.

And the ref has called for the bell.

And the show has gone off the air.

Oh.

03:39am

Brock Lesnar is here!

Seth and Dolph go through the announce table, and Brock’s music hits and he breaks into the cage.

Heyman just sprayed Foley’s eyes and Lesnar is running rampant.

03:36am

Drew, Dolph, Dean and Seth are now fighting on top of the cell.

I will never not cringe at this.

03:33am

McIntyre and Ziggler appear at ringside to try and get involved, but Rollins and Ambrose run down to equalize!

03:08am

Up next, it’s the main event, as Roman Reigns defends the Universal Title against Braun Strowman in a Hell in a Cell match.

Oh, and Mick Foley is the Special Guest referee because… reasons.

03:00am

In a match that went far too long and that Bliss got far too much offense in, Rousey retains with the Armbar.

It wasn’t a really bad match, but Ronda should be massacring Alexa.

02:44am

Up next, Ronda Rousey defends the Raw Women’s Title against Alexa Bliss.

This should be a quickie.

02:39am

Luckily, Brie didn’t try any suicide dives in that one.

Maryse got the win with a roll-up after what was an average match.

02:21am

Up next it’s mixed tag team action, as Miz and Maryse take on Daniel Bryan and Brie Bella.

I don’t really care to be honest.

BRIIIIEEEE MOOOODDDEEE shut up.

02:14am

Replays show that AJ actually tapped out before the ref counted three, but the ref didn’t see it.

I suppose this is their way to segway into another rematch, but still a bad finish.

02:12am

AJ retains with a shock pinfall after he rolled through the Coquina Clutch.

A dreadful finish, but AJ is still the champ.

02:09am

This match has felt huge.

Not the fastest pace, but a very evident big match feel.

01:45am

Up next, it’s the WWE Championship match, as Samoa Joe challenges WWEEENNNNNDDDYYYYYYYY and AJ Styles!

01:40am

After a great match with a brilliant finish, McIntyre and Ziggler retain their titles after Drew nails a Claymore on Rollins mid-Falcon Arrow.

The best match of the night so far.

01:11am

Up next, it’s the Raw Tag Team Title match, as Dolph Ziggler and Drew McIntyre defend the straps against 2/3 of the SHIELD, Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose!

01:04am

That match was basically just one big botch.

And the finish wasn’t great either.

Becky rolled though a Flair Spear to get a shock pinfall win.

Not a fan of that at all.

It’s great that Becky won, but, yeah that was all a bit naff.

12:48am

Becky’s getting cheered, Charlotte’s getting booed.

Going well, this.

12:44am

Up next, it’s Charlotte vs. Becky.

The match with probably the most hype going in to the show is going on second.

Hooray.

12:37am

Orton picks up the win after Jeff flops from the top of the Cell through a table.

I hope Jeff’s OK, but that was really, really funny.

12:36am

That was the most unintentionally hilarious spot I’ve ever seen.

12:33am

This is the most non-PG match in WWE for ages.

And it’s fantastic.

12:29am

Big fan of Orton twisting Hardy’s earlobe round a screwdriver.

No, but seriously, that was disgusting, never do it again please.

12:24am

Been a bit boring do far this, it’s just dead slow and methodical.

But it feels like something big’s coming.

Like death. Jeff Hardy flavored death.

12:07am

To kick things off, it’s the first Hell in a Cell match of the night, as Jeff Hardy squares off against Randy Orton.

What’s Jeff gonna do then?

11:50pm

New Day retain in an entertaining little match there.

They played off the Rusev/English tension really well throughout.

Rusev looks like he’s either about to cry or kill Aiden.

11:41pm

Yay adverts mid-match.

My favorite.

11:34pm

It’s time for the first match of the night!

New Day defend their SmackDown Tag Titles against Rusev and Aiden English of Rusev Day!

11:31pm

11:26pm

Otunga just compared AJ vs. Joe to MGK vs. Eminem.

Can’t wait for MGK vs. Em in a Last Man Standing match at Clash of Champions.

11:21pm

Hardy vs. Orton is opening the show.

They’re giving themselves plenty of time to fix Jeff when he dies, it seems.

11:10pm

Rusev Day chants.

More of this please.

11:05pm

The pre-show is underway, and we have Jonathan Coachman, Paige, Booker T and Peter Rosenberg guiding us through the first hour!

Coach and Booker together at last.

It’s what dreams are made of, folks.

10:30pm

It’s Hell in a Cell time boys and girls!
