Welcome to WrestleTalk’s live results of the February 17, 2021 edition of AEW: Dynamite. Tonight, we’re getting some good tag team matches and another first-round match in the AEW Women’s Eliminator Tournament. We’ll have all the results and breaking news from tonight’s show.
Here is the advertised card for tonight:
- Orange Cassidy vs. Luther
- Eddie Kingston, The Butcher & The Blade vs. Jon Moxley, Lance Archer & Rey Fenix
- Young Bucks (c) vs. Santana & Ortiz – AEW World Tag Team Title
- Riho vs. Serena Deeb – AEW Women’s World Title #1 Contender Tournament
- FTR vs. Matt & Mike Sydal
- Sting calls out Team Taz
The Main Event
Butcher, Blade, and Eddie Kinston do battle with Moxley, Archer, and Fenix. Moxley, Archer, and Fenix all come in together. The match starts off as a massive brawl.
The match surprisingly stays in the ring for a fairly long time before things breakdown. As good as Archer has been in this one, Rey Fenix has to be the star again. His level of athleticism is just off the charts.
Archer and Fenix battle with Butcher and Blade. Eventually, they just all take each other out leaving Moxley and Kingston alone.
Kingston wants a win against Moxley. He doesn’t get it tonight. Moxley hits a paradigm shift for the win.
After the match, The Good Brothers attack. This brings out Omega who announces he’s giving Moxley a rematch at Revolution. It’s going to be an exploding barbwire deathmatch. I don’t know what that it is, but someone might lose a limb.
That’s all for tonight. Another excellent night of AEW.
EVERYBODY FLLLLLLLLLLYS!

Gender Reveal and FTR
The Sydal brothers are facing off against FTR. The Sydal’s are looking good in this match.
This is the first I’ve seen them together in AEW. I’ve seen Mike before in ROH, but they looked really good and pushed FTR.
Tully wasn’t around the ring because he’s stuck in Texas. Texas had a huge Ice Storm.
FTR go to attack Mike after the match. They were going to cut his hair off, but the lights go out. Jurassic Express are here when the lights cut back on.
They take out FTR. Jungle Boy locks in the Snare Trap and Luchasaurus hits a big move.
Before the match, Cody and Brandi announce they are having a girl.
#JurassicExpress are back together!

The tag titles are on the line
The Young Bucks are putting the titles on the line against Proud-n-Powerful. Can we get an all Inner Circle tag match at Revolution?
Rick Knox kicks MJF out of the match. He’s actually kicked out the entire Inner Circle.
Meanwhile, Santana and Ortiz are in control. After the crew is gone, The Young Bucks start to fight back.
Now the match is in high gear. Ortiz locks in a submission and nearly gets a submission before Matt breaks it up.
Inner Circle hits The Street Sweeper. Matt Jackson breaks it up at 2 and 99/100ths.
After a great match, Nick Jackson ends up rolling up Santana for the win. The Inner Circle immediately attacks.
Backstage, Callis, Omega, and the Good Brothers are watching on. They don’t come out to help. Eventually, Callis tells The Good Brothers to go out, but he wouldn’t let Omega go.
They run off Inner Circle, but not before Jericho gets a shove in on Papa Buck.
SO CLOSE!

Taz calls out Sting
AEW advertised Sting calling out Taz, but it was the other way around. Taz beat him to the punch and came out first.
Taz called out Sting. Taz talks about Sting’s bat. So, Sting tosses it aside.
Sting then throws a punch at Cage. Hook gets involved and OMG Brian Cage powerbombs Sting. Sting takes a huge bump on his back and neck.
The camera work made me chuckle. They use the cam that’s directly above the ring and Sting looks like he isn’t sure if he just crapped his pants or not.
After this, Omega is visiting a school. He reads to some kids who end up beating up Michael Nakazawa.
The street fight at #AEWRevolution is just around the corner. But, @Sting was ready to throw down NOW.

Orange Cassidy vs. Luther
Orange Cassidy gets a squash match. There were some shenanigans with Serpentico and Chuck Taylor, but Orange hits a Orange Punch for the win.
Not much here. Good news here is that Luther only wrestled for a few minutes.

Riho vs. Deeb
Riho is returning to action in the AEW Women’s Championship Eliminator Tournament. She’s facing off against Serena Deeb.
Deeb is wearing a knee brace and the commentary team is putting over the fact that she is nursing an injury.
Serena Deeb and Riho are putting on a hell of a match here. I can’t say enough how much Deeb has added to AEW. She’s been a very consistent performer who helps make the other person in the match look great. She’s the veteran presence they needed and you know will put on a solid, if not flashy, match.
Riho is such a good babyface. She has a likeable quality that’s hard not to cheer for.
Riho lands a huge foot stomp. If she weighed anything at all, then Deeb might be flat. She landed it hard.
The two trade some terrific near falls before Riho gets the final pin. Riho advances to face Thunder Rosa.
We get a pre-recorded video of Jade Cargill doing her best Bianca Belair impression as she shoots hoops with Shaq.
Up next, Orange Cassidy and Luther go one on one.
WHAT A MATCH!

MJF and Inner Circle
Santana and Ortiz talk about their upcoming match. They say everyone is scared of him and Ortiz.
MJF then goes off on Sammy. Jericho tells him to shut up and then goes off about Sammy. He says he wanted Sammy and MJF to be in each other’s faces to bring the best out in both of them.
He said MJF learned that, but Sammy didn’t. So, Sammy is dead to him.
Riho vs. Deeb is next.
Hangman and Hardy to kick off the show
Hangman and Hardy are going up against TH2. The commentary team discuss what happened with Hardy and Page during their tag match where Hardy tagged himself in.
We get a clip of last week. Last week, Hardy thought he signed Page to a contract, but Page actually switched the papers.
Hangman Page has been dominant again. Page is just the complete package.
Page sets up for the Buckshot Lariat. Hardy tags himself in and goes for the Twist of Fate, but TH2 shoves him. Hardy and Page bump heads.
Hardy gets in and gets beat up until Page hits the lariat on both members of TH2. Hardy hits the Twist of Fate and gets the pin. Hangman has a huge smile on his face.
After the match, Hardy is laying it on real thick. Hardy says Page is going to make a lot of money. Page says he knows. Page reveals that he has a set of friends who taught him to keep an extra set of papers.
Page has a lawyer bring out the contract. Well, it’s not a lawyer. It is the Jaguar mascot.
Page had Hardy sign a contract for a match at Revolution. If Hardy loses then Page gets all of Hardy’s earnings from the first quarter of 2021.
Hardy wants Page to do the same. So, now, it’s a money match. Isaiah Kassidy was the Jaguar. TH2 and Kassidy beat up Page, but The Dark Order with -1 come out to make the save. 5 and Hardy square off.
After, Page looks like he might cry happy tears. He’s so happy the Dark Order helped him even after he turned them down. It shows they really care. It shows it’s because they actually like him.
DOUBLE BARREL BUCKSHOT!
