Welcome to WrestleTalk’s live coverage of AEW: Dynamite. We’re getting the go home show for Double or Nothing tonight and it should be a fantastic show.
Here’s what is advertised for the show:
- Sammy Guevara vs. Matt Hardy
- Orange Cassidy vs. Fenix
- Jon Moxley vs. 10
- Nyla Rose and Britt Baker vs. Kris Statlander and Hikaru Shida
- Arn Anderson and Jake Roberts in a face to face interview
Hardy vs. Sammy
It’s Hardy vs. Guevara. Guevara is destined to lose this match if it has a finish.
Based on the commentary making a big deal of the fact that we haven’t seen Hangman Page or The Young Bucks in weeks, it would seem they are going to appear tonight. AEW loves a brawl to end a go home show.
Hardy removes Sammy’s shoe and bites his toes. Sammy has been the victim of several toe bites. Hardy hits the Twist of Fate and beats Sammy. After the match, Chris Jericho pops up on the jumbotron.
The Inner Circle has Kenny Omega in the stadium. They have him set up and beat him with a baseball bat. The Young Bucks are back and join the fight. It’s 4 on 4 fighting in the stadium. The Inner Circle get the upper hand.
From the other side of the stadium, Hangman Page comes running in at full sprint in Cowboy boots from 100 yards away.
Another good show from AEW in spite of the circumstances. Hangman continues the not so sure he’s aligned with the Elite story. Page walks away on his own.
Saturday night doesn’t quite have the feel of all of the other AEW pay-per-views, but it will still be a great show. Join us for coverage on Saturday night.
The Young Bucks came back to Dynamite just in time!

Shawn Spears News
Shawn Spears is on the set of a news stage. He’s doing a skit of being a news anchor.
He first comments on Dustin Rhodes being retired. He also comments on not having a match at Double or Nothing.
He challenges him to a fight at Double or Nothing. Maybe it will get added to the pre-show or main card.
It’s booked. Spears vs. Dustin Rhodes. That was fast.
Oh, how the tables have turned!

It's time for the ladies
Baker and Rose vs. Shida and Statlander is up next. The match gets off to a quick start.
Rose slows it down and starts beating Statlander down.
These women are working hard. However, when you put them on after Cassidy and Fenix, you aren’t doing them any favors. Everything seems slow and a bit sloppy.
During the match, it appears Baker is injured. She had to have her knee checked out during the match. It did not look as though it was a work.
Rose hits the Beast Bomb and she gets the clean win over Shida.
After the match, Rose gets a table out. Statlander helps Shida out. Shida climbs to the top and Superplexes Rose through the table.
Shida’s head bashed through the table hard. She looks out of it as Statlander tries to help her out of the ring.
Good news, Fenix walked out on his own after the bad fall.
All hell broke loose between the Casino Ladder Match participants!

The Ladder fight is on
As Sabian sits on the ladder, Sky and Kaz tip Sabian into the ring. As the fight continues, Havoc jumps into the brawl.
They head to the outside, Fenix hits a massive dive but misses. He hit the ground hard.
Cabana is out and does a moonsault onto everyone including what appears to be an injured Fenix.
More dives by Cassidy and everyone heads to the back. I sure hope Fenix is okay. That looked bad.

It's about to get fresh
Freshly squeezed that it. Orange is out vs. Fenix. Fenix tries to get the kick in before the match, but Orange just stepped back nonchalantly.
PAC provided a promo before the match. PAC’s promos are great. They are so different and effective.
Fenix is also really great. I’ve really missed him and Pentagon on the show. Cassidy is keeping up with him.
Cassidy has gotten a lot of near falls. This match has been great, but Kip Sabian has come out with a ladder. This distracts Cassidy.
Fenix hits a low blow and then a cutter. Fenix wins. Sabian gives Orange the finger.

Two old men walk into a ring...
Up next, Jake Roberts and Arn Anderson are sitting down to an interview to talk about their men’s match this Saturday. Both men were some of the best talkers during their time as wrestlers.
Jake talks about that he and Anderson have never wrestled. That almost seems impossible.
Roberts talks about how Archer is a mean guy. He then makes some fat jokes about Anderson.
Anderson’s turn. Roberts challenges him to a fight. Surely, they aren’t going to have these guys fight.
Roberts makes a couple of digs at Tyson and Brandi. Arn gets up for them to fight. The refs come out quickly.
I love both these guys, but having them pretend to want to fight was a bad idea. The talking was great, but being physical not so much.
MJF vs. Stunt
MJF is out to obliterate Marko Stunt. Stunt is a really good option for the loveable loser. He’s popular, charismatic, and no one really cares if he loses because he’s not supposed to win. Then when he’s in a tag team, he gets in enough offense for fans to love him.
MJF is really playing up all the heel tactics. He even makes Marko pick his own nose and then puts it in his mouth.
After talking a bit too much, Stunt gets in a bit of offense. In the end, MJF locks him in The Salt of the Earth armbar. He punches him in the mouth with the Diamond Ring.
Out come Jurassic Express to make the save. Jungle Boy vs. MJF could be one of the more fun matches on the card this Sunday.
.@The_MJF used a tactic he probably used in high school.

The match is underway
Mox is out and he is hot. He starts taking it out on 10. Brodie Lee and crew head to the back. So, it’s just 1 on 1.
10 gets in a good amount of offense but ultimately Moxley gets the win. He hits some big moves towards the end trying to get Brodie Lee to come out.
He sets up to attack with a chair. He locks 10’s arm in a chair. He gives Lee 10 seconds to come out or he’s going break his arm.
Lee says we all have to make sacrifices and lets Mox slam the second chair down on his arm.
Your #AEW World Champion @JonMoxley just planted @Pres10Vance to the canvas!

10 vs. Jon Moxley
Jon Moxley is taking on Dark Order member 10. Seriously, how is Shawn Spears not number 10?
Lee starts us off with a promo. Lee tells us he is just a man. Lee says he operates at a higher level than the old Dark Order.
Is that a shot at Uno and Grayson. They sure seem to be forgotten in all of this.
Lee knights 10 and we’re getting Moxley vs. 10.
Cold Open
The cold opening to Dynamite gets us started by recapping the feuds heading into Double or Nothing. Then a limo pulls up.
Inner Circle has arrived. Chris Jericho is so good. He even makes poop cool.
This weekend at Double or Nothing, the time has come as the first-ever #TNTChampion will be crowned & both the #AEW World Championship & #AEW Women's Championship is on the line!
