The ROH World Television Title is on the line

AEW has done a really good job of creating a space for Trent to have terrific matches. He doesn’t win many singles matches, but you know you’re going to get a highly entertaining competitive match when he’s in one. He’s that guy who is probably not going to win, but good enough you think he eventually might.

Opposite him is the ROH TV Champ, Samoa Joe. Joe is a freaking beast. I’m not sure if they ever faced off in NXT or WWE, but I want a Joe vs. Keith Lee match. Lee would be a good guy to hold the ROH TV Title at some point.

Trent is clearly winning the endurance battle. He hits lots of moves like dropkicks, cross bodies, and more agile moves. Joe looks tired, but he hits a move every once and a while. The power moves take more out of Trent than the lower impact moves of Beretta. Joe is so good at looking vicious. Joe goes for the Muscle Buster, but Trent reverses it. Near fall for two. Trent goes for a running move in the corner, but Joe hits the Urinagi. Joe locks in the rear naked choke for the win.

After the match, Jay Lethal, Sonjay Dutt, and Satnam Singh come down. Orange Cassidy steps in, but Lethal hits him. Lethal and Joe are broken up as the show goes off the air.

That was a great tv main event. Nicely done. See you next time.

Danhausen and Hook

Danhausen marches down to the ring and wants Hook to come down to the ring. He says he’s had enough of Hook’s shenanigans. Hook comes down and Danhausen gets scared. Hook grabs him and says they are doing this tonight.

At that point, Mark Sterling comes to the ramp and interrupts. As they look at him, Tony Nese attacks. He takes out Danhausen and then Hook makes the save. As Sterling and Nese head back up the ramp, Danhausen curses them, but in reality they back up because they see Hook. The crowd chants Hookhausen. That was fun.

Lee and Gunn

Colton Gunn is a pretty big guy. Keith Lee is bigger. A LOT BIGGER!!!

Keith Lee looked pretty dang impressive. He hits the Big Bang Catastrophe for the win. Colton Gunn puts a pretty good fight in this one. Lee hits the big slaps. He did all the things Keith Lee does to look impressive. There wasn’t much more to say than that.

After the match, The Hardys cut a promo about Jeff Hardy facing Bobby Fish on Wednesday. They want to see lots of dream matches like Hardy vs. Allin. Next, we hear from the Undisputed Elite. They are on the same page and promise to beat up Jeff Hardy next week.

The Baddies Debut

I’m not quite sure why Cargill needs Red Velvet and Kiera Hogan, but I guess it gives Hogan and Velvet something to do. Thanks to Excalibur for reminding me why Red Velvet turned heel. I couldn’t remember. Apparently, she was offended when the crowd cheered for Willow in their Owen qualifier.

Keira Hogan was pretty good in IMPACT, but she hasn’t looked quite as good in this one. I wouldn’t use the word botch, but she certainly didn’t quite connect fully on some of her moves.

After some chaotic 6-woman action, Cargill hits Jaded for the win. The ladies fan themselves with cash to cool down after the match.

Backstage, Swerve and Darby are standing with Tony. Darby apologizes to Swerve for the way the match ended. Swerve is not mad at him. He just wants Starks. That was a pointless segment. It wasn’t bad. I don’t think Swerve looked overly good in it, but I would have just cut it if I was in charge.

Darby and Swerve are starting us off

This is an interesting one. Who will come out on top? I’ve been pretty confident in who will win each of the qualifiers, but I have no idea about this one.

We’re only about 5 minutes into this one, but this seems like this is going to be one you should go out of your way to watch. There was an exchange where Swerve sent Allin to the floor. Swerve did some kind of handstand dive thing where he landed on his feet. Darby countered with a flippy Stunner on the floor. It was pretty sweet.

Swerve is selling an injured knee. Darby goes for the Coffin Drop, but Swerve gets the knees up. Swerve hits the big kick to Darby’s head. He would have won, but Darby gets the hand on the rope. This leads to Swerve hitting a Suplex from the apron onto the floor. Ouch that hurt.

Ricky Starks was on commentary. He thinks Swerve is about to win. So, he gets up from commentary. Sting steps in the way, but Swerve is still distracted. Allin locks him in a leg lock and pins him. Allin gets the win and qualifies for the Owen Tournament.

We also get a promo from Shawn Spears. Shawn basically confirms the guy facing Wardlow is W Morrisey, but they could be swerving us. We also get a recap of Jericho throwing the fireball in Kingston’s face. Santana from out of nowhere attacks Jericho.

The ladies are next.

This is Rampage Baby!!
