8:28am

Kazuchika Okada def. EVIL

EVIL and Kazuchika Okada have battled a number of times but this may have been their best match to date. Okada finally managed to get the win with the Rainmaker. The two battled for nearly a half hour before Okada finally got the upper hand.

Now, the A Block final is winner take all. Kazuchika Okada vs. Kota Ibushi where the winner will advance to the G1 Climax Final. The entire A Block has built to that match and believe it or not, this will be only their third singles match ever, and their first in almost three years.

We will be back to continue our coverage of the G1 Climax tomorrow with more B Block action. Until then, have a lovely day, a wonderful evening, and a peaceful night.

7:52am

Kota Ibushi vs. Zack Sabre Jr.

It is looking more and more likely that Kota Ibushi will be the man to emerge from the A Block. He was able to defeat Zack Sabre Jr. with a Bomaye and a Kamigoye. You can imagine what this match was but that does not mean it was anything less that what you would expect.

Ibushi and Sabre have wrestled a number of times and every time it has been special. They mesh very well together and this match was no exception. Sabre had you thinking that he was going to submit Ibushi but it was not to be as Ibushi pulled out the win.

The main event is next. Kazuchika Okada vs. EVIL means that EVIL needs to win to stay alive and if he doesn’t it comes down to Okada and Ibushi.

7:30am

Will Ospreay vs. KENTA

Ospreay got the win over KENTA with the Hidden Blade and the Stormbreaker. KENTA looked to be just a half step off in this one as he slipped doing a couple of moves. It did not impact much of the match as they were still able to put on a hell of a performance.

After the match KENTA and Ospreay shook hands. The semi-main event is next as Kota Ibushi faces Zack Sabre Jr. Ibushi needs to win this match in order to stay in the hunt.

7:08am

Bad Luck Fale def. Hiroshi Tanahashi

Didn’t see that coming. Bad Luck Fale got the win over Hiroshi Tanahashi with a backslide. The Bullet Club cost Tanahashi the win when Jado hit him with the kendo stick while he was attempting the High Fly Flow.

Tanahashi had been eliminated prior to this match anyway but this loss really put his tournament to rest. The Bullet Club has been interfering far too much for Bad Luck Fale’s matches to be considered any good and that goes for this one as well.

6:52am

SANADA def. Lance Archer.

SANADA got the win with a rollup after trying to lock in the Skull End and escaping the EBD Claw. Lance Archer attacked SANADA before the bell and continued his vicious assault throughout the match.

This was a good match. SANADA has had a flurry of wins late in this tournament and while it is too little too late, the wins have improved his standing in the overall tournament. Likewise, Archer has performed well but has failed to pick up the wins necessary to have a great tournament.

6:31am

Tetsuya Naito, Shingo Takagi & BUSHI def. Tomohiro Ishii, Jeff Cobb & Ren Narita

BUSHI picked up the win over Ren Narita with the MX. Shingo Takagi is set to face Tomohiro Ishii tomorrow while Tetsuya Naito will face Jeff Cobb. Takagi vs. Ishii will likely be an incredible main event while Naito vs. Cobb is crucial for Naito’s tournament hopes.

A Block action begins next with SANADA vs. Lance Archer.

6:27am

Jay White, Chase Owens & Yujiro Takahashi def. Juice Robinson, Tomoaki Honma & Toa Henare

Chase Owens got the win for Bullet Club by hitting Toa Henare with a Package Piledriver. Jay White and Juice Robinson renew their rivalry tomorrow in an important match for White.

6:27am

Hirooki Goto & YOSHI-HASHI def. Jon Moxley & Shota Umino

YOSHI-HASHI managed to get Shota Umino to submit to the Butterfly Lock. Jon Moxley is facing Hirooki Goto tomorrow and realistically needs this win to keep his tournament hopes from slipping away.

6:27am

Minoru Suzuki, TAICHI & Yoshinobu Kanemaru def. Toru Yano, Yuya Uemura & Yota Tsuji

Yoshinobu Kanemaru submitted Yuya Uemura with the Boston Crab. TAICHI will face Toru Yano tomorrow in the B Block.

6:27am
