Joe Gacy and some druids

Joe Gacy comes out, he says Bron Breakker isn’t here because he hasn’t been cleared since his fall but he is the future of NXT – he is interrupted by Rick Steiner who looks like an adorable Grandpa, but unfortunately, he barely gets to talk before Gacy sicks his druids on Steiner! Here comes Bron! He attacks numerous druids on the way to the ring but ultimately as a handful of druids hold down Rick Steiner, Gacy gets the better of Bron, leaving him laid out in the ring while Gacy stands tall with the druids lining up in a formation and responding to Gacy’s outstretched hand by handing down the line the NXT championship belt Bron dropped in the brawl to end the show on Gacy holding it up.

See you next week!

Roxanne Perez vs. Mandy Rose

Roxanne Perez getting over big here with the crowd already at least half behind her with dueling chants for each of the women. Perez bit Rose’s nails and then slammed her hand into the steel steps. A big spine buster from Mandy leads into a series of offense but Roxanne is back with ‘her second or third wind’ (thanks Vic) to continue to hold her own against the NXT women’s champ in her second match in WWE.

Finally a jumping knee into a cover for the pinfall victory for Mandy Rose “out of absolutely nowhere” and “one-hitter quitter” per commentary who is able to “just that quick put down Roxanne Perez” with a Wendy Choo run-in at the end of the match, who goes on to join up with Perez to both cover Toxic Attraction with a giant net and then chase them with silly string up the ramp to end the segment.

Wes Lee clip + other backstage bits and bobs not yet mentioned elsewhere

A vignette on a lifeguard tower and the beach sees Wes Lee report that losing the tag team titles is one thing but having them taken is completely different but “I can bitch and complain about how everything isn’t fair or I can knuckle up” and make the waves he was meant to – and then he stands in waves on the beach. Nice.

Next week it will be Cora Jade and Nikkita Lyons vs. Natalya and Lash Legend who said in a backstage interview that Nattie was the BOAT and she will win next week, taking her momentum into the Breakout Tournament.

Kay Lee Ray is officially renamed Alba Fyre.

Kiana James will be in the Breakout Tournament.

Ariana Grace (Santino Marella’s daughter) formerly known as Bianca Carelli will be in the Breakout Tournament.

Sloan Jacobs is 19 years old and she’s in the Breakout Tournament.

Edris Enofe & Malik Blade vs. Viking Raiders (Erik & Ivar)

Fun match that was given an amount of time with the crowd excited to see the Viking Raiders but Enofe and Blade got to showcase enough that it didn’t feel like complete devastation.

Edris Enofe & Malik Blade predictably fall to the Viking Raiders who are visiting from SmackDown after a double powerbomb to blade.

After the match, the Creed Brothers come out and stare down the Raiders.

Solo Sikoa vs. Trick Williams

With Cameron Grimes on commentary, Solo Sikoa picks up the pinfall victory over Trick Williams after a Samoan drop into a splash off the top rope to get the pinfall victory.

After the match there’s a staredown in the ring between Solo and Cameron Grimes when Carmelo Hayes pops up – he’s about to receive a superkick from Sikoa until he dodges it, instead laying out Grimes and leaving Sikoa standing tall.

I hope to see Sikoa on the main roster!

Fallon Henley & Josh Briggs vs. Cruz del Toro, Elektra Lopez, & Joaquin Wilde

With Jensen out with an injury, it ends up being a mixed tag handicap match LDF is 3:2 and the match feels as such with them picking up the win fairly easily via pinfall on Briggs.

Katana Chance & Kayden Carter vs. Valentina Feroz & Yulisa Leon

Fast back and forth action between two fun tag teams with Chance and Carter picking up the win via pinfall after a sweet 450 splash on Leon.

Given the total lack of women’s tag teams on the main roster, I wouldn’t hate seeing Katana Chance and Kayden Carter called up. Is that a hot take?

Nathan Frazer debut segment

Nathan Frazer is making his debut entrance when Grayson Waller beats up his opponent and steals the microphone to tell him that no one cares about his debut, this is his NXT! He tells Chase U that they are a scam, he went to one of their tailgates and their “sorority girls look like refrigerators.”

Frazer has heard enough and attacks! Takes out Waller in spectacular fashion and the segment ends as he stands tall with Andre Chast and Bodhi Hayward.

I have completely flipped on my initial understanding of Grayson Waller; when I first started doing live results, I had honestly not watched NXT 2.0 at ALL and didn’t fully get Waller… but I can admit, now I get it and I love it.

Speaking of Waller, he pops up backstage with Tiffany Stratton and I need them to become an on-screen couple and make a faux vlog as the most obnoxious couple on earth. They too can spray paint a car with a catchphrase to be a little wink and nod shady towards those other guys. Book it, Hickenbottom!

Von Wagner vs. Tony D'Angelo

With Xyon Quinn not cleared to compete tonight, we get Von Wagner instead!

After a hard-fought battle and interference LDF + Tony’s goombahs fending them off, Santos Escobar is able to land a shot on Tony D with a steel pipe on the outside of the ring setting up Von Wagner nicely to pick up the win via pinfall after a big lariat.

Nikkita Lyons vs. Lash Legend

Fun and fast match between Nikkita Lyons and Lash Legend to start the show off with a bang! Nikkita picks up the win via pinfall although not the typical one she does during squash matches which was a nice touch to show Legend wasn’t an easy win.

After the match, Natalya appears and she and Lash Legend start to go in on Nikkita Lyons until the beat down is interrupted by Cora Jade to even the numbers!

I am personally a fan of the non-title feud in WWE, I enjoy the character work when the feud is rooted in hatred versus simply ambition.

Let's go!

Almost time for NXT 2.0 and Nikkita Lyons is right, it’s Tuesday!!
