Carmelo Hayes vs. Tony D'Angelo for North American Championship

Carmelo Hayes picks up the victory after subterfuge! Santos Escobar “accidentally” passed along some brass knucks as the show ends on the image of D’Angelo and his goons in the ring with the former Legado Del Fantasma standing tall and together at the ramp!

Please let this mean the return of Elektra Lopez soon?

Alba Fyre vs. Lash Legend

Another fast match with Fyre winning via DQ after Lash Legend hits her with a bat!

Brooks Jensen vs. Von Wagner

While Brooks Jensen actually gets in a bit more offense than you may even expect, Von Wagner eventually wins as he reversed an off-the-top rope attempt by Jensen into an elbow drag and captures the pinfall victory.

After the match, Von Wagner stands tall at the entrance with Sofia Cromwell and Robert Stone while back in the ring, Jensen has been joined by Briggs and Fallon Henley while they keep having a six-person seething staredown.

Edris Enofe vs. Cameron Grimes

Standard NXT match fare, it is fairly fast, there are some fun spots, both men look good, meanwhile, it is easy to wonder what the point of this particular match is in the grand scheme of a longer storytelling arc however I digress.

After the match, a show of respect from Grimes to Enofe. I don’t like the constant re-tooling of the Cameron Grimes character! The main roster is woefully lacking in compelling babyfaces, if they could hone in on creating the best translation of that Cameron Grimes, we’d be in business baby! Okay well, I still believe, to the moon!

Cruz Del Toro & Joaquin Wilde vs. Roderick Strong and Damon Kemp

In a fun match with fast action, Diamond Mine prevails when Roderick Strong gets the pinfall victory after nailing Joaquin Wilde with the jumping knee.

Wes Lee in-ring promo

Wes Lee says he apologizes for letting his pain and anger get the best of him, from Xion to Sanga, he was trying to show that Wes Lee can stand on his own two feet and do what he needs to do!

When he’s interrupted by Trick Williams who tells him, “Shut up! Just shut up, no one wants to hear about it… maybe you left your brother behind, maybe you’re not the friend you always pretended to be, maybe your friend is gone because you let him down?”

A spicy promo ensues where Wes Lee calls Trick “second fiddle” to Melo but Trick tells him to slow down, he doesn’t need to match a match, “I’ll do you like all your old friends did you – I’ll just leave!”

Kayden Carter & Katana Chance vs. Yulisa Leon & Valentina Feoz

Kayden Carter & Katana Chance entrance included some light-up shoulder pads and smoke guns, it was pretty cool actually. In a fairly fast match, Carter and Chance continue to shine as they make short work of Leon and Feoz, picking up the pinfall victory after hitting a 450 splash.

Solo Sikoa vs. Grayson Waller

This match is given a solid amount of time to develop as both of these athletes could easily transition to the main roster; they have the physical capabilities as well as heaps of charisma but alas they remain here and this is a solid match.

Tag team alert!

Get ready to watch Roderick Strong and Damon Kemp team up on tonight’s NXT 2.0! See you back here for the show!
