Dusty Rhodes Classic Match - Undisputed Era def. Breezango
This match was shown to be very evenly matched early on with Tyler Breeze and Adam Cole mirroring each other’s moves. This extended to Fandango and Roderick Strong and Breezango had the advantage as they went to their first commercial.
Breezango were working more of the heel role as Roderick Strong got the hot tag. Strong and Cole managed to get the advantage back but as Cole went for the Last Shot Fandango dodged and tagged in Tyler Breeze.
Everyone went for a finisher but they all dodged and hit kicks and knees until everyone was down. Dunne, Lorcan and Burch ran down and attacked Kyle O’Reilly. They were going to break his jaw when Finn Balor made the save. This was a distraction for Cole and Strong and Breezango took advantage.
They set Cole up for a finish but Strong took out Breeze and Cole caught Fandango with a superkick as he came off the top rope. Pretty good little main event match. If they had more time they could have done more.
Isaiah Scott and Jake Atlas fight backstage
Jake Atlas and Isaiah Scott were in a fight backstage and it was broken up by Bronson Reed.
Kayden Carter and Kacy Catanzaro are backstage
Kayden Carter and Kacy Catanzaro are backstage and they say they are going to shock the world and win the first ever women’s Dusty Rhodes Classic. Not a lot to it but they came across well.

Xia Li def. An unnamed jobber
Xia Li did a big martial arts entrance in front of her master.
Li then hit a punch on a nameless jobber and then hit a spin kick for the win. That’s all there is to it.
Keep going, @XiaWWE. #WWENXT @Bigboawwe pic.twitter.com/SrGJXjEJGl

After the match Li tied her opponent up in the ropes and beat her up more. Li’s master said to do it more and Li went back and beat her up again.
Women's Dusty Rhodes Classic starts next week
The Women’s Dusty Rhodes Classic starts next week with Kacy Catanzaro and Kayden Carter taking on Toni Storm and Mercedes Martinez.
Dusty Rhodes Classic Match - MSK def. Isaiah Scott & Jake Atlas
MSK debuts as Nash Carter and Wes Lee are the new names of The Rascalz from Impact. Carter is Zachary Wentz and Lee is Dezmond Xavier.
MSK had a strong opening sequence with both guys getting chances to do cool moves but Isaiah Scott and Jake Atlas disrupted the flow by pulling Lee to the outside. Both of MSK hit dives to regain the momentum as NXT went to commercial.
INNOVATION. #WWENXT #DustyClassic @DezmondXavier @zachary_wentz pic.twitter.com/kwlzUORRUS
— WWE NXT (@WWENXT) January 14, 2021
Scott had the advantage when the match returned which allowed Wes Lee to get the hot tag. MSK hit their assisted moonsault for a nearfall but Scott and Atlas hit a series of big moves before Scott hit a 450 splash for a nearfall.
Carter and Lee hit a blockbuster type move for the win. Really good match and a solid debut for MSK.
Undisputed Era isn't worry about Lorcan and Burch
Adam Cole and Roderick Strong say they are not worried about Oney Lorcan and Danny Burch getting involved in their match tonight and Kyle O’Reilly will be at ringside to keep the peace.
Timothy Thatcher and Tommaso Ciampa talk about the Fight Pit
Timothy Thatcher and Tommaso Ciampa are with Wade Barrett and they talked about the Fight Pit. Ciampa said this was Thatcher’s match and asked what Thatcher’s injury was. They got heated as Thatcher said Ciampa was the one who wanted this fight.
Ciampa said when Thatcher teaches he takes liberties and in the Fight Pit he will take as many liberties as he wants.
The FIGHT PIT is home to Timothy Thatcher and brand new territory for @NXTCiampa.

Dunne, Lorcan and Burch are backstage
Pete Dunne, Danny Burch and Oney Lorcan say Undisputed Era doesn’t run NXT, they do. Pete Dunne said Kyle O’Reilly got in his way of the NXT Championship and will be dealt with.

Johnny Gargano def. Dexter Lumis
Johnny Gargano tore up the drawing Dexter Lumis did of him. Lumis didn’t like that and he hit him with an uppercut and a Lou Thesz press. Lumis did his stupid slither around the ring and it freaked Gargano out.
Lumis went for a Swanton Bomb but Gargano moved as they went to commercial. During the break, Gargano hit the spear through the ropes to take advantage. Gargano went to work on Lumis’ back before Lumis fought back and hit a spinebuster, a bulldog and a slingshot suplex.
Yes, we also saw that @JohnnyGargano. 😯 #WWENXT @DexterLumis pic.twitter.com/R96IZaRfEU
— WWE NXT (@WWENXT) January 14, 2021
Gargano rolled Lumis up and hit a pair of kicks but Lumis fought back. Gargano went for the slingshot DDT but Lumis caught him. Austin Theory got on the apron but Lumis managed to suplex him and also get rolled up for the pin. This was a very strange finish.
After the match Gargano and Theory beat up Lumis until KUSHIDA made the save. KUSHIDA threw the NXT North American Championship at Gargano so there is your next challenger for that title.
Shotzi Blackheart and Ember Moon are in the Dusty Classic
Shotzi Blackheart wants to win the women’s Dusty Rhodes Classic and she needs a ride or die partner. This is when Ember Moon comes in and says they will win.
Ember Moon’s return to NXT has been pretty terrible so far.
Raquel Gonzalez is looking at Io Shirai
A Raquel Gonzalez video package played where she said Rhea Ripley’s shining star ran into a brick wall. Now, Gonzalez knows she’s the baddest bitch in NXT and she is looking at Io Shirai.
Looks like Mercedes Martinez isn’t the only person coming for Io Shirai. This was a good video.

Dusty Rhodes Classic Match - Grizzled Young Veterans def. Ever-Rise
Zack Gibson cut a fantastic promo on the way to the ring as Grizzled Young Veterans face Ever-Rise who did not get an entrance.
Gibson then started and got slapped on the head by Matt Martel. James Drake and Chase Parker tagged in and did your basic chain wrestling for a while with Parker getting the upper hand. Drake was very angry after being taunted by Parker.
It's a first-round matchup between #EverRise and the Grizzled Young Veterans on #WWENXT!
Let's face it… the #DustyClassic RULES!!! pic.twitter.com/bYe7mBgsJQ
— WWE (@WWE) January 14, 2021
Gibson calmed his partner down and they hit Poetry in Motion to get the upper hand again. They also hit a backbreaker before Gibson put Parker in a half crab. GYV hit a series of kicks and strikes for a nearfall and are solidly in control of this match.
Martel finally got the hot tag and took it to both members of GYV. He hit a big belly to belly toss on Drake before dropping him with a lariat. Ever-Rise hit a sloppy pop-up spear for a nearfall but Gibson pulled one out of the ring and GYV hit Ticket to Mayhem for the win.
This result was to be expected as Grizzled Young Veterans are a favourite in this tournament. Good match but Ever-Rise could still use a little more time.
Johnny Gargano backstage
Johnny Gargano is backstage talking about how great he and Candice LeRae are when Austin Theory walks up and gives him drawings of himself and Gargano being made fun of by Dexter Lumis. This was a really stupid segment.
"His drawings SUCK." – @JohnnyGargano @DexterLumis truly outdid himself, yet again. 😂 #WWENXT @austintheory1 pic.twitter.com/PYPlMVfd2M

Finn Balor Promo
Finn Balor says he is still the NXT Champion and Kyle O’Reilly is great but he is not on Balor’s level. He said not Kyle is the one eating his food through a straw.
He said whoever wants to step up can cause he knows he is the target. This is when he is interrupted by Pete Dunne, Danny Burch and Oney Lorcan.
"The only reason you have that title is because I haven't taken it yet!" – @PeteDunneYxB
Who's ne❌t for @FinnBalor?omit_script=1 Looks like we may have our answer… #WWENXT pic.twitter.com/IucahwqbSK
— WWE (@WWE) January 14, 2021
Dunne says he has been waiting and watching and the only reason Balor has the title is because he hasn’t taken it from him yet. Balor fights off the three men until Pete Dunne drops him with an armbreaker. They all stomped on Balor until Kyle O’Reilly tried to make the save. He got beat up too until the Undisputed Era made the save for both of them.
This would appear to be a good look into who will face Balor next with Dunne as the obvious challenger.
Candice LeRae def. Shotzi Blackheart
Shotzi Blackheart and Candice LeRae traded counters for a while before Shotzi hit a crossbody and grabbed a hold. She really worked this armlock for a good few minutes before LeRae got her to break the hold.
Indi Hartwell got involved on the outside allowing LeRae to hit a springboard crossbody as the show went to a commercial break. When they came back Shotzi was in control. Its a sidenote but I hate when WWE has the momentum change during the commercial.
2 for the price of 1?omit_script=1 That's just a good deal. 🤘 #TCB#WWENXT @ShotziWWE @CandiceLeRae @indi_hartwell pic.twitter.com/3O9QRDgbqH
— WWE (@WWE) January 14, 2021
Shotzi threw herself at LeRae in the ropes and then DDTed her on the apron. Shotzi then hit a suicide dive onto LeRae and Hartwell on the outside. LeRae sent Shotzi into the turnbuckle twice and then superkicked her for a nearfall.
LeRae went for the GargaNO Escape but Shotzi hit a neckbreaker to break it up. Shotzi went to the top rope but Hartwell distracted her long enough for LeRae to hit a top-rope swinging neckbreaker for the win.
There wasn’t a ton to this one. It felt pretty slow and never really got out of second gear.
Welcome!
