WWE NXT Live Results – April 22, 2020

Hello and welcome to our live coverage for tonight’s episode of WWE NXT!

On the card for tonight we have:

Finn Balor vs. Velveteen Dream
Tegan Nox & Shotzi Blackheart vs. Dakota Kai & Raquel Gonzalez
El Hijo del Fantasma vs. Jack Gallagher
Kushida vs. Tony Nese
Drake Maverick vs. Jake Atlas

The latter three of those matches are in the interim NXT Cruiserweight Champion tournament, and the standout is of course Drake Maverick sticking around to compete in said tournament despite being released from WWE last week.

As a Brit, and also just a fan of awesome pro-wrestlers, I’m very much cheering for Maverick to go out with a bang and am very much looking forward to seeing him actually wrestle which he’s only been allowed to do a small handful of times in WWE.
