It’s time for only the second ever ‘Premium Live Event’ under the NXT 2.0 banner as WWE’s developmental brand comes In Your House tonight.

There are six matches on the card with all five championships in NXT on the line, and we’ll be providing live coverage of the show as it unfolds right here!

  • Mandy Rose (c) vs. Wendy Choo – NXT Women’s Championship
  • Cameron Grimes (c) vs. Carmelo Hayes – NXT North American Championship
  • Pretty Deadly (c) vs. Brutus & Julius Creed – NXT Tag Team Championship
  • Legado Del Fantasma vs. Tony D’Angelo, Channing ‘Stacks’ Lorenzo & Troy ‘Two Dimes’ Donovan
  • Gigi Dolin & Jacy Jayne (c) vs. Katana Chance & Kayden Carter – NXT Women’s Tag Team Championship

All that to come, so follow along with our live coverage below for all the updates, results and reactions to tonight’s show.

Bron Breakker Nearly Breaks, But Ultimately Retains

They did a fantastic job of using the stipulation here. They really built up the idea of Breakker getting increasingly frustrated throughout and he nearly snapped right at the end.

There was also the Eddie Guerrero spot where Gacy faked being hit by Breakker with a chair and the ref was about to call for a DQ, but another ref ran out and told him not to.

Breakker got close to using the chair, and with the ref trying to throw the chair away, Gacy struck with a low blow and followed up with a great nearfall, which pretty much had me fooled.

The low blow just made Breakker even more angry, and he once again very nearly used the chair to get disqualified, but instead of hitting Gacy, he hit one of the druids on the apron.

Gacy tried to capitalise with the handspring clothesline, but Breakker countered with a spear and followed up with a military-press powerslam to win and retain.

Overall that was a fun show, and we’ve got two new champions heading into Tuesday night.

Thanks for following along with our coverage, and come back tomorrow night for Hell in a Cell!

Main Event Time

Following the Creeds’ win, it was announced that the July 5 episode of NXT 2.0 will be this year’s Great American Bash special edition.

Also, matches announced for this coming Tuesday’s June 7 NXT 2.0 are Tiffany Stratton vs Roxanne Perez as mentioned earlier, the Alba Fyre vs Tatum Paxley match that was teased earlier, and Josh Briggs vs Von Wagner.

And now, it’s time for the main event. Bron Breakker defends the NXT Championship against Joe Gacy, who has his two mystery druids in his corner.

Remember the stipulation here too – if Breakker gets disqualified, he will lose the title.

Creed Brothers Win The NXT Tag Team Championship

The thing with the Creed brothers is that their matches are usually exciting, but they can get a bit sloppy at times due to their inexperience, but this was one of their best.

Julius did something that I’ve never seen before. He did a leapfrog, but kicked out his legs afterwards and caught his opponent on the back, so that was pretty cool.

They showed the Creed brothers’ dad in the crowd, so that gave me a bit of a hunch that they might have been winning tonight. And that’s exactly what he they did.

The Creeds were actually quite dominant throughout, until Pretty Deadly slammed Julius onto the steel steps on the outside and things turned around, building to a Brutus hot tag. The Creed hot tags always really get the crowd going, but I was alluding to earlier, do sometimes lead to things getting a bit messy. That didn’t happen this time though, really.

Kit Wilson threw in one of the title belts and Julius caught it, but chose against using it. Instead he looked at it, looked at their dad, and it motivated him to land a BEAUTIFUL SHOOTING STAR PRESS, followed by the Unnecessary Clothesline, and the Creeds are the new tag champs!

Pretty Deadly Vs. Creed Brothers Next

We get a backstage interview with both Tiffany Stratton and Roxanne Perez, who will battle this coming Tuesday on NXT 2.0 in the final of the women’s breakout tournament.

Stratton says she’s gonna win because it’s the “women’s” breakout tournament, not the “little girl’s” breakout tournament.

Stratton also calls interviewer McKenzie Mitchell, and I quote, “quite literally the worst person of all time”. I’m not sure about that, but I am sure that Stratton is great and I think people are starting to realise it.

She was one of those signings that when she first debuted everyone wrote her off as only being signed because she’s hot, but she’s had enough matches by now to show off her athleticism and that she actually can go in the ring, and she’s definitely impressed a lot of people.

Anyway back to tonight, and up next is the tag team title match, with Pretty Deadly defending against the Creeds. Pretty Deadly got a John Morrison-esque slow motion entrance, which was cool.

Remember if the Creeds lose tonight, they’re out of Diamond Mine.

Mandy Rose Retains

The problem with having Mandy vs Wendy is I can’t tell whether the crowd was chanting Mandy or Wendy at the start – I think it was Mandy because she did get a good reaction when she came out. NXT fans recognise the overall positive influence she’s had on the show despite the criticism she gets.

The NXT crowd definitely helps the matches. This wasn’t great but the crowd was still hot enough for it to at least be entertaining. Again, that’s basically what I said I was expecting pre-match.

For the first time, we saw Choo take off her onesie and get serious after Rose pushed her to the limit by… tearing her pillow apart. The Choo gimmick is very silly and she was never going to become champion. Or at least if she was, it would have been a bad idea.

Choo locked in a sleeper hold and it looked like the crowd was buying the fact that she may have been about to win, but Rose got her foot to the rope to get out of it, and soon landed her running knee, which always looks great, to score the pin and retain the title.

So after two defences tonight, Toxic Attraction still stands atop the NXT women’s division.

NXT Women's Title On The Line Next

Three matches down and three to go, and up next is Mandy Rose defending the NXT Women’s Championship against Wendy Choo.

Choo’s gimmick is polarising, but she can go in the ring, and Rose has proven to be good enough throughout her reign so far, so despite the questionable buildup, this does have potential to be at least pretty entertaining.

Before the match, we get a ‘vision’ into Wendy Choo’s dream, because she’s asleep, and her dream is her winning the NXT Women’s Championship.

Carmelo Hayes Is A Two-Time North American Champion

If there’s one thing I don’t like about NXT 2.0, it’s Vic Joseph and Wade Barrett constantly arguing on commentary. It really gets a bit too much. It’s always bugged me a little bit but especially while I’m busy typing stuff up here and trying to listen to what’s happening, and instead of telling me what’s happening, they’re just arguing.

To no-one’s surprise, this was a good match filled with some fun spots, including Hayes landing a slingshot DDT to Grimes on the apron, Grimes landing a reverse springboard Spanish fly. You know the drill.

Aside from the actual action, they made sure to establish Hayes as the clear heel (he’s popular despite being a heel) by having Trick Williams try to tie Grimes’ wrist to the ropes, and he managed it for a few seconds and it was enough to turn the match in Hayes’ favor.

Grimes turned things back around and there were a couple of nearfalls for both sides as the match was clearly approaching its conlusion, and said conclusion came when Trick Williams held Grimes’ leg after Grimes had dived onto him on the outside, which distracted Grimes and gave Hayes time to recover and land his top-rope leg drop to become a two-time North American Champion.

That also means we have Hayes vs Solo Sikoa to look forward to soon!

North American Title On The Line Next

Coming up next is most people’s pick for match of the night, as Carmelo Hayes, with Trick Williams in his corner, challenges Cameron Grimes for the North American Championship.

We already know the winner’s next defence will be against Solo Sikoa, so will it be Sikoa vs Hayes, or Sikoa vs Grimes?

I’m not breaking any news here, but Hayes looks like a star, carries himself like a star, is better in the ring than 95% of the NXT roster, and he’s probably ready for the main roster at this point.

Grimes is also in that top 5%, so we should be in for a good one here.

Toxic Attraction Retain

Compared to many members of the NXT 2.0 roster, Chance and Carter have been in NXT for quite a while now, and you can definitely see how far they’ve come.

There were a few sloppy moments and moves that didn’t connect as intended, from both teams, but overall it was entertaining. Kinda what I was expected when I was talking about Carter and Chance’s recent matches earlier.

Jayne especially has some really good heel facial expressions and body langauge. Much like most people in NXT, it’s just that some polishing in the ring is needed.

Anyway, with the referee distracted, Jayne punched Carter from the outside and Dolin landed a German Suplex for the win.

The match was a bit shorter than I was expecting actually, but never mind.

First Title Match Up Next

We get a video package for Alba Fyre (the former Kay Lee Ray), and then the camera cuts to Tatum Paxley, Lash Legend, Brooklyn Barlow, Sloane Jacobs and Erica Yan watching it unimpressed.

Legend moans about Fyre so Paxley basically says “well why don’t you have a match with her then”, Legend says no, but then Pax says “well I will then”.

So it looks like we’ll be getting Alba Fyre vs Tatum Paxley on Tuesday, and that’ll probably be pretty good.

Up next tonight though is the NXT Women’s Tag Team Championship match, with Gigi Dolin and Jacy Jayne of Toxic Attraction defending against Katana Chance (formerly Kacy Catanzaro) against Kayden Carter.

Chance and Carter have had some pretty fun matches recently so this could be good, although Dolin and Jayne have yet to really have a good match despite being champions for a while now.

Tony, Stacks & Two Dimes Score The Win

Even when the other four men were going at it in the ring, D’Angelo and Escobar did not take their eyes off each other on the aprons until tagging in, and when they did both get in, it got a very big reaction from the crowd.

They’re very new but Stacks and Two Dimes have been impressive in NXT so far. Unlike some new NXT signings that are being brought in from the sports world, they were already wrestlers before signing, and it shows. They more than kept up with the fast pace of the guys on the opposite team.

There were very justified ‘This is awesome’ chants after a big brawl, which was very quickly followed by the conclusion of the match, which saw both teams try to cheat, with Joaquin Wilde clocking Stacks with a crowbar and knocking him out, but Tony then used Legado’s own brass knucks to knock Wilde out, and Two Dimes pushed an out-cold Stacks onto Wilde and, with both men knocked out but Stacks on top, it was D’Angelo’s team who got the win.

A very fun way to start the show, and now Legado Del Fantasma have to join Tony D’Angelo’s group, so we’ll see where this goes in the coming weeks.

Getting Us Underway Is...

Todd Pettengill is on narration duty for the intro video, so that’s nice. Of course the announcers ringside are Vic Joseph and Wade Barrett.

It’s time for In Your House, and the first match of the night is…

Legado Del Fantasma, made up of Santos Escobar, Cruz Del Toro (formerly Raul Mendoza) & Joaquin Wilde with Elektra Lopez in their corner, taking on Tony D’Angelo, Channing ‘Stacks’ Lorenzo & Troy ‘Two Dimes’ Donovan.

The losers must join the winners’ group in what is being dubbed the ‘Battle for Control’.

Lopez already paid off pre-match as she instructed the referee to look for a weapon that might have been hidden by D’Angelo’s group, and he did indeed find a crowbar hidden in the ring steps.

This feud has been made up of awesome pre-recorded movie-esque video packages, and we got another one of those from Tony, Stacks and Two Dimes before their entrance.

Also I was playing golf earlier today and now I have a blister on my hand, so that’s making typing tonight a little bit annoying. Yay.

Edris & Malik Are Here

As an update, I can confirm nothing has happened.

Edris Enofe and Malik Blade turned up though and injected some life into things, because Enofe is very charismatic and Blade is… wearing a sweater, and the crowd chanted ‘Sweater Power’.

So maybe that’ll catch on, but someone should remind him there’s only one sweater that should be worn in NXT, and that’s a Chase U sweater.

There was also a reminder that if the Creed Brothers don’t win the tag title tonight, they’ll be kicked out of Diamond Mine:

It's Pre-Show Time!

Yay, I was right this time! The pre-show is now underway, and because there’s no matches, it’s safe to assume that not much will happen.

But if something does happen, I’ll let you know. The hosts for the pre-show are McKenzie Mitchell and everyone’s favorite human Sam Roberts.

The main show kicks off in 30 minutes at 8pm ET!

Actually There's Another 30 Minutes

It turns out the pre-show actually starts at 7:30pm not 7pm. Oops.

See you then!

The Pre-Show Is Just Over An Hour Away

Our live coverage will commence from the start of the pre-show at 7pm ET!

Remember the added stipulation for the main event – if Bron Breakker loses the match by disqualification, he will lose the title to Gacy, so no champion’s advantage in that regard.
