WWE Raw Live Results – August 12, 2019

SummerSlam was fun wasn’t it? I mean, at least I thought it was. And tonight we’ve got you covered as always with live coverage of tonight’s Raw with all the fallout!

All that and more tonight as we start building towards September 15’s Clash of Champions show where every title will be defended. Supposedly.

Braun Strowman Saves The Day

Braun Strowman

The match ended in DQ as the O.C. started assaulting Rollins, but Ricochet came out to make the save.

He wasn’t successful though and got taken out, but Braun Strowman then marched down the ramp and took the O.C. out.

He then grabbed the Universal Championship and handed it to Seth, but sort of let him know he’s got his eye on it.

That wraps up what started off as a very solid show but sort of lost its way somewhere in the middle and never really recovered.

Bliss and Cross are still Women’s Tag Champions as Alexa landed Twisted Bliss on Kairi for the win.

I think the crowd is asleep.

It’s now time for a Women’s Tag Team Championship match with Bliss and Cross defending against the Kabuki Warriors.

As has become weekly tradition, the Viking Raiders destroy some jobbers.

Banks Batters Natalya & Becky

Sasha Banks

Banks assaults an emotional and injured Nattie, and gets “thank you Sasha” chants from the crowd. Which I’m not entirely sure is what they intended but oh well.

Becky Lynch then runs out and she and Sasha get in a brawl at ringside. Banks nails Bex with a steel chair multiple times and shoves her into the ring steps until referees come out and restrain her.

SASHA BANKS IS BACK!

Natalya comes out and reminds us that she lost to Becky last night.

She also says that in her dreams last night her dad Jim spoke to her and said he was proud… and then SASHA BANKS returned!

We haven’t seen her on WWE programming since WrestleMania…

Elias Wins 24/7 Title

Elias

Oh now Elias is the champion. He smashed Truth with a guitar in the back.

I say this every time but the 24/7 Title is literally the best thing.

First Ever Dual 24/7 Champions... For A Few Seconds

So Lucha House Party had a match with the Revival but R-Truth and the rest of the 24/7 geeks run out.

The Revival pinned Truth to become the first ever co-champions, but then Truth won the title back and ran away.

Heyman just moans a bit about the fact Lesnar doesn’t get a rematch for the Universal Title against Seth Rollins.

Was he not watching that one show they announced no more automatic rematches that one time?

Roode gets an easy hometown win with the Glorious DDT.

Drew wins a really, really fun match with the Claymore.

They revealed some of the Raw field for the King of the Ring tournament during the match so keep an eye on the website for that in a little bit.

Drew Wants To Cave Cedric's Skull In

We get some more fun with the Street Profits, and then Drew does a promo before his entrance saying he’s going to batter Cedric in their match, which is coming up next.

They also announced that Drew and Cedric will both be in the King of the Ring tournament next week.

Rey does an interview and he seems pretty emotional, saying he has no idea where his career is going and he has to support his family…

Steve Austin Plugs His New Show Via Skype

‘Stone Cold’ Steve Austin appeared via Skype to praise Seth Rollins for beating Lesnar last night and being committed to being the best in the world.

Then he plugs his new show ‘Straight Up Steve Austin’ which premieres after Raw because of course he does.

Clean Sweep For Andrade

Well, the first one was a bit dodgy but the second was decisive as Andrade countered the Frog Splash and landed the Hammerlock DDT to pick up a second straight fall and the overall win.

Good stuff.

Andrade won the first fall in just a few seconds as he – with Zelina’s help – used the bottom rope for leverage on a pinfall.

Andrade Vs. Mysterio 2/3 Falls Next

It’s time now for a surefire cracker as Rey Mysterio and Andrade go head-to-head in a 2/3 falls match.

Maybe people would be slightly more excited if they hadn’t abused 2/3 falls matches for the past month or so because of that stupid no wrestling during ads rule, but still, it should be a good’un.

VAR Anyone?

Ricochet wins via a rollup but commentary brought up that Elias did actually get his shoulder up, leaving the window open for another match at some point.

Unfortunately they’ve not introduced VAR yet in WWE.

The match was nothing really. Elias tried to use his guitar but the ref stopped him and Ricochet then pinned him.

Yay it’s Elias!

He says that he’s figured out that whenever he starts singing someone comes out and interrupts him, so he counts down and invites someone to do so…

But no-one does.

Until he does start his song and Ricochet comes out, a referee follows shortly after, and we’ve got ourselves a match.

Ziggler Taps, Is An Idiot Again

Ziggler tapped out to the figure-four, and then decided to do exactly what he did with Goldberg last night and goad Miz back into the ring through his power of words.

So Miz nails him with a Skull Crushing Finale.

In other news, Corey Graves is doing my head in.

Well Ziggler came out not dressed to compete, and he says Miz set Goldberg on him because he was scared of him, and says he can’t medically compete tonight.

But alas! He was just joking! He pretends to walk off hurt but then turns around and ambushes Miz, and we are having the match after all. Oh goodie.

Up next, it’s time for The Miz to take on the man that got battered by Goldberg last night, Dolph Ziggler.

Joe absolutely decimated Zayn with the Coquina Clutch in about a minute.

Maybe Sami shouldn’t have mentioned AEW that one time…

Joe cuts a promo after the match affirming that he is still a heel despite showing compassion to Roman Reigns recently.

King Of The Ring Confirmed

It was rumored earlier that the King of the Ring tournament would be returning soon, and WWE has just officially made the announcement for next week on Raw.

Joe Vs. Zayn Next

We cut to the Street Profits backstage, who are confronted by Sami Zayn. He tells them to enjoy the excitement while they can before WWE sucks the soul out of them.

I’m sure a lot of the talent can attest to that.

The Profits say “someone like Samoa Joe?”, so Sami starts badmouthing him. Little does he know Joe is stood right behind him, so he challenges him to a match.

Joe shoves Sami down, and it seems like that’s coming up next.

Rollins Vs. Styles Tonight

Styles says that he wants to challenge Seth tonight to prove he’s a much better champion than Rollins is, and the crowd starts chanting “Yes! Yes! Yes!”

Seth says he won’t back down from a fight, and accepts the challenge for later tonight.

Rollins thanks the crowd for being behind him last night, but he’s been cut off by US Champ AJ Styles and Raw Tag Champs Gallows & Anderson, the O.C.

Raw opens with new two-time Universal Champion Seth Rollins who once again slayed the beast Brock Lesnar at SummerSlam last night.

He’s not dressed to compete. Will a potential new challenger for Rollins emerge tonight?
