Charlotte Replaces Becky At ‘Mania

Becky, Trips and Steph are all in the ring once more, and it’s decision time for the Man. Will she apologize and go on to face Rousey at ‘Mania, or will she refuse to and throw it all away?

Hunter tells her to tune the crowd out, and says that their opinions don’t matter. Slightly contradictory to what they were saying a few weeks back, but never mind.

Becky says that off all that’s keeping her away from her dream then… she’s sorry.

Well there we go then, that was easy. Wasn’t really worth waiting the entire show for that. Well, apparently not.

Rousey comes out to join Becky in the ring, closely followed by Vince. Vince says they both have bad attitudes, and says that he’s ‘the Man’. And then he suspends Becky for 60 days, which is five days after WrestleMania.

Vince then introduces Charlotte Flair, and says that she’ll be replacing Becky at ‘Mania, and raises her hand saying she’ll win the title.

I am feeling all of the anger. All of it.

The Revival def. Roode & Gable (c) – Raw Tag Titles

The match starts with the defending champions on top. Gable showing some of his excellent amateur background and also his high athleticism with a moonsault to the outside.

One thing I will add here is the crowd is absolutely dead. I actually feel sorry for the guys there putting on a great match but the crowd just not reacting at all.

We head into commercials with Roode and Gable on top.

Revival has the upper hand when we come back, but Gable tags in with a flurry of offense over both Dawson and Wilder.

A German suplex from Gable on Dawson gets a nearfall, and again, the crowd is really not paying any attention.

A double team from the Revival, which was essentially a Shatter Machine on the ropes scored a nearfall on Chad, as did an assisted leg drop from Dash.

Gable tries to get to Roode for a tag, but Dawson’s doing all he can to prevent it. As Gable actually gets to the corner, Wilder knocks him off, and tags back in. An elbow drop/backbreaker from the ‘top guys’ gets another two-count.

Chad hits the Chaos Theory German Suplex, on Wilder, but doesn’t realize Dawson has tagged in. He hits Dawson with a German, too, as we go to commercials again… I reiterate, this is a really good match, but the crowd is utterly dead. It’s like watching 205 Live in a sense.

We come back with Gable tagging in Roode and Wilder also tagging in. Roode takes out both Revival members and spears them both in the corner. He goes for a middle rope blockbuster but Dash dodges it. Bobby manages to catch him with a spinebuster though and it gets a nearfall.

Roode goes for the Glorious DDT, but the Revival counter it. Dawson tags in and the Revival land a Gory Special/facebuster for a nearfall on Roode.

This crowd is really beginning to get on my nerves at this point.

Gable tags in, and Roode sets up for their finisher. Dash gets out, and Gable & Roode innovate with a Blockbuster/German, but the pin is broken up at two by Dawson.

Dawson tags in and lands a flying clothesline, and this time it’s Roode who saves the match. Finally the crowd are chanting “this is awesome”, and they’re not wrong.

The Revival make a tag unbeknownst to Gable, and land a Shatter Machine to pick up the win and become NEW Raw Tag Team Champions!

Dean Ambrose def. EC3

Ambrose starts the match hot after being defeated by EC3 with a rollup last week.

EC3 manages to turn the tables pretty quickly though, and the commentators are bigging him up as a future top star and champion.

A stalled vertical suplex from EC3 gets a nearfall, before the two exchange chops, EC3 attempts his Top One Percent finisher, but Dean wriggles out and chucks him out the ring.

Ambrose climbs to the top rope, but EC3 knocks him down. Ambrose manages to roll-up EC3 and… get the win.

Oh.

Seth Rollins Will “Burn In Hell” To Beat Lesnar

Rollins comes to the ring to “burn it down” chants, and runs down the last year of his career.

He says this was they he finally felt like Seth ‘Freakin’ Rollins. He says he used the momentum to win the Rumble, but then it was derailed by the six F5s he suffered at hands of Lesnar.

He says if he can stand, he can fight, and if he can fight, he can stomp, and if he can stomp, he can beat Brock Lesnar.

Just as Rollins is getting emotional, he is cut off by Paul Heyman, who teases bringing out Lesnar, but he obviously isn’t at the show.

Heyman refers to Brock as a “career killer”, and says that if Rollins goes into ‘Mania with the idea it could be his last, that is a “suicide mission”, and he’ll be the “architect of his own demise”.

Rollins says he doesn’t care, and Lesnar has held the business hostage for far too long. Seth says he will burn in Hell if it means Lesnar doesn’t leave ‘Mania with the title.

Dean Ambrose comes out with Seth still in the ring, and simply says “slay the beast” and then just goes for a sit down ahead of his match after the break.

Ruby Riott def. Nikki Cross

Nikki starts the match doing some crazy things, before we cut to a confrontation backstage between Becky and Ronda halfway through.

Ruby is soon on top, dominating Nikki until the Glaswegian blocks an STO on the apron and takes down the Riott Squad leader.

Cross wraps Ruby up in ring skirt, and climbs to the top rope, but is taken down by a superkick, followed by a Riott Kick, for a fairly convincing win for Ruby.

She takes on Ronda for the title on Sunday.

Seth Rollins and Paul Heyman are both live on the show, next.

Kevin Owens Update

We get a little video update from Kevin Owens who’s been out injured since October.

He says he doesn’t know if he’s coming back to Raw or SmackDown, but the McMahons have told him he’s only a month-or-so away from returning.

He then proceed to bowl right into the gutter, proving he’s the most relatable wrestler in the world.

Angle, Bálor, Strowman def. Corbin, Lashley, McIntyre

As predicted, we’ve got Angle, Bálor and Braun vs. Drew, Lashley and Corbin when we come back from commercials, as the heels work over Bálor for a short while.

The Irishman lands a floatover DDT on Drew to give him a window to tag Kurt Angle in. Angle his an Angle Slam but the pin is broken up by Corbin.

Corbin tags in and now the heels work over Angle now. Lashley in, who goes for a running attack on Angle in the corner, but the Hall of Famer blocks. Before he can get a tag though, McIntyre tags in to prevent it and we go to commercials again.

We come back to Drew screaming at Angle again, before Bálor and Corbin tag in. Corbin counters a Slingblade into a chokeslam backbreaker for a nearfall.

Finn manages to escape a Lashley powerbomb to open the window to tag, but McIntyre and Corbin take Angle and Braun off the apron.

Lashley and Finn legal in the ring, and Bobby goes for a spear, but Finn dodges and dives over the top onto Drew and Corbin.

Bálor goes to the top for a Coup de Grace, but Rush distracts him allowing Lashley to hit the Dominator. Bálor’s foot was clearly on the rope, but ref John Cone counts the three.

Chad Patton comes out though, and points out that Finn’s foot was on the rope. Cone restarts the match.

I mean, you know what I’m going to say. Why don’t they do this every time there’s a refereeing mistake? Deary, deary me.

We come back from commercials with Strowman in the crowd having being tossed over the barricade. Corbin goes for his trademark clothesline on Finn, but the latter counters it and takes the bigger man down.

Lashley tags in though, and targets the ribs of Bálor that have been a target since the Lesnar match. Both men are down, but Bálor has no-one to tag as both his partners are down. Finn hits an enzuigiri on Bobby as Braun begins to climb back over into ringside.

Bálor tags him in and Braun takes out all three men before running them – and Rush – down around ringside.

Lashley recovers and goes for a spear, but it’s caught into a powerslam from Braun, who tags Finn in to hit the Coup de Grace to pin the IC Champion.

Finn Bálor def. Drew McIntyre via DQ And Everyone Joins In

Lashley and Rush immediately get up on the apron and distract Bálor, allowing Drew an early advantage.

Bálor manages to escape a suplex attempt on the apron, and forces Drew into the cornerpost before attempting a suicide dive. However, Lashley grabs his legs on the other side of the ring.

This causes Finn to dropkick Rush on the outside. Back in the ring, he climbs to the top rope for a Coup de Grace, but Lashley knocks him down to force a DQ.

Lashley and Drew then both launch a two-on-one beatdown on Finn, but Kurt Angle comes out to even the odds.

Of course, where Kurt Angle is, Baron Corbin is just behind him, so he joins the fray, as does Corbin’s Elimination Chamber opponent Braun Strowman.

The three heels escape as we go to commercials. Looks like we might be setting up for a six-man tag after the break.

Elias Smashes Kalisto With His Guitar The Absolute Hero

Elias moans about being interrupted all the time, and the Luchas says they’ve actually turned up tonight to Walk With Elias.

Elias is indeed a full-on heel, doing his traditional “you’re town smells and you all smell and you’re all stupid” shtick.

He asks the Luchas what they thought of his song, and they just give him a thumbs down. And then Elias tells Kalisto to sit down on his stool, and he hands him the guitar.

Kalisto plays the guitar actually pretty well, with the other two just “lucha-ing” in the corner. Elias asks Kalisto to do a duet because he’s so impressed.

He grabs his other guitar that was just handily lying around, and then just smashes Kalisto with it. That part was amazing. The rest of the segment… nah.

Up next, we’ve got Finn Bálor vs. Drew McIntyre. Lashley and Rush – who defend the IC Title against Finn on Sunday – are ringside.

Ladies & Gentlemen, Elia… Or Maybe Not

So Elias is in the ring, but instead Becky Lynch pops up on the titantron, and Finn Bálor gives her some advice, and basically tells her not to let pride get the better of her.

We go back to the ring, and Mike Rome goes to announce Elias once more, but this time they decide to play a Seth Rollins video package instead.

I think this is just playing off the idea that he always gets interrupted OH AND NOW IT’S THE LUCHA HOUSE PARTY’S TURN.

Kalisto, Lince and Metalik all come out and join Elias in the ring and… we go to commercials.

That was nothing short of bizarre and a waste of time.

Jax & Tamina def. Logan & Morgan, Bayley & Banks

First match of the night is a three-way tag match featuring the three Raw teams that will be in the Women’s Tag Title Chamber on Sunday.

Sasha starts the match with Nia, slaps her, and then tags straight back out to poor Liv Morgan of the Riott Squad.

Tamina and Logan tags in, with the actual Viking managing to take down the bigger Samoan and take Liv in. Liv can’t do the same though, with Tamina out-powering her before tagging in Jax.

Jax continues to work over Morgan, who attempts a comeback with some strikes, until Bayley blind tags herself in and runs straight into an angry Nia.

We go to commercial with Logan attacking Banks at ringside with Jax and Bayley legal in the ring.

As we come back from the break, Banks is still down on the outside, which included a blow from Ruby Riott at ringside, and the ‘Boss’ has doctors attending to her and carrying her out. Presumably she’s still not been cleared, or at least is being physically protected.

Meanwhile in the ring, we’ve got Tamina and Bayley in the ring, with Bayley going for a couple of rollups before tagging in the Riott Squad.

Logan works over Tamina for a short while, until an attempt to tag in Liv is thwarted and Tamina tags Nia in, who just chucks Logan around the ring.

Sarah dodges a Nia attack in the corner, but Tamina manages to tag in anyway and goes for a splash, but Logan gets her knees up.

Liv and Bayley both tag in, and Bayley takes out… well…. everyone, even Ruby. She goes for an elbow drop from the top, lands it, but Logan manages to break up the pin.

Bayley hits a Bayley-to-Belly OUTTA NOWHERE on Liv, but Tamina hits a superkick before Bayley can pin. Nia tags in on Liv, hits the Samoan Drop on Bayley, and gets the pin.

Because Bayley took the fall, she and Banks will enter the Chamber match first on Sunday.

The premise of that match made little sense. Why did any of them tag in? Surely you’d want to just stay on the outside so you can’t lose, no?

Becky’s Suspension Lifted… On One Condition

We open Raw with Triple H and Stephanie McMahon in the ring.

They run down the Elimination Chamber card. You can check that at our event page.

They eventually bring up Rousey’s Raw Women’s Title defense against Ruby Riott, and move on to the trials and tribulations of Becky Lynch last week (detailed in the show preview below).

Steph announces that Becky did actually see the doctors this past weekend, but before the Raw Commissioner can reveal the results, Lynch herself comes out to join them in the ring.

HHH proposes that they all should put the tension and animosity behind them. Becky’s doctor and WWE doctors decided that after a couple of weeks, Becky can be cleared, the suspension is lifted, and the match against Rousey is ON!

However, McMahon says the match will only happen on one condition… Becky apologizes for her actions in assaulting Steph and Trips last week.

Becky emphatically declines, and tells them to shove their apology “up their a**”. Lovely.

Why didn’t she just apologize?

Hunter says that Becky has till the end of the night to make a decision as to whether she apologizes and go on to face Rousey at ‘Mania, or she can choose to “throw it all away”.

Join WrestleTalk.com for live coverage of tonight’s WWE Raw, on the red brand’s final stop before Elimination Chamber this Sunday!

After an absolutely baffling couple of segments on last week’s Raw and SmackDown, Becky Lynch will appear on Raw again tonight after being invited by the entire McMahon family.

She’s still under (storyline) suspension thanks to Steph last week. Becky declined to get herself medically cleared for some reason, and then the following night on SmackDown Triple H claimed it was because she was scared of Ronda Rousey.

It’ll be interesting to see how Becky responds to those claims after having a few days to ponder. I hope she beats them all up.

Another appearance tonight will be that of Seth Rollins. Rollins is reportedly injured at the minute and as of the weekend has been removed from all live events until April, so it’s unlikely we’ll see him get physical tonight.

WWE has announced two new matches from the Raw side of things for the Chamber. Bobby Lashley and Lio Rush will defend Lashley’s IC Title in a handicap match against Finn Bálor, and Braun Strowman will take on Baron Corbin. Hopefully we’ll get some explanation as to WHY ON EARTH THOSE MATCHES ARE HAPPENING tonight.

Make sure you refresh this page throughout Raw tonight for live updates and opinions, and join the discussion throughout the show by following us on Twitter and joining our Discord.
