WWE Raw Live Results – November 12, 2018

04:00am

SmackDown Live INVADES Raw!

So… they were having a good little match.

And then Mickie James, Nia Jax and Tamina just attacked both Banks and Bayley.

Bliss then said that, because neither Banks nor Bayley won, neither of them would be a part of team.

And then she announced it was Ruby Riott.

So… yeah.

And then the camera cuts to backstage, and Becky Lynch has Ronda Rousey locked in the Dis-Arm-Her!

The ‘Man’ then walked down to the ring to confront the Raw women’s roster, and she is backed up by the rest of the SmackDown Live roster, and a massive brawl ensues.

SmackDown looks to have the upper hand, but Ronda Rousey sprints to the rescue… until she meets Becky Lynch & chair.

Team Blue stands tall on to close out Raw.

03:39am

Bliss announces the following for the Raw women’s Survivor Series team:

  • Natalya – who Alexa “sent home” because of her emotional distress earlier
  • Mickie James
  • Nia Jax
  • Tamina
  • MATCH – Sasha Banks vs. Bayley

Whoever wins out of Banks and Bayley will join the team.

03:33am

Up next, Alexa Bliss is set to announce the full Raw women’s Survivor Series team.

03:29am

Bobby Lashley wins via countout because Lashley held Elias outside the ring without the referee seeing.

Elias absolutely launched Rush at Lashley outside the ring though.

Lashley is the fifth member of Team Raw.

Strowman, McIntyre, Ziggler, Bálor and Lashley.

03:20am

Elias is the absolute best. That is all.

03:17am

Up next, it’s Bobby Lashley – complete with Lio Rush in his corner – taking on Elias for the final spot on Team Raw at Survivor Series.

Lashley is wearing shades indoors. I guess that makes him as much of a kn*b as Lio Rush.

Then he showed everyone his bottom again.

What is even going on tonight?

Thankfully, Elias is here to save us all.

03:07am

Paul Heyman cut a Paul Heyman promo about why and how Lesnar is going to beat Styles at Survivor Series.

Which was fine.

Then Jinder Mahal came out.

If we remember back to last year, until some sort of sanity took over, it was actually Mahal who was set to take on Universal Champion Brock Lesnar as SmackDown Live‘s WWE Champion.

Good Lord. Mahal offers to help Brock… for some reason. What with? I have no idea.

The ‘Beastmaster’ offers Lesnar some breathing techniques, but Lesnar just absolutely batters the poor Singh Brothers, with Heyman shouting “SHANTI!” on the outside. Then Brock hit Mahal with an F-5.

The wrestling.

03:02am

Lesnar’s here!

The Universal Champion will of course take on WWE Champion AJ Styles on Sunday at Survivor Series for the second straight year.

It was the ‘Beast’ who picked up the win last time around.

02:57am

Lucha House Party were allowed three members, because that’s fair.

Slater & Rhyno were eliminated first. There were six teams in this Battle Royal for some massively moronic reason, so I assume it will be Slater & Rhyno that miss out on Sunday.

B-Team then eliminated the Revival because Vince hates good things.

The Ascension got rid of LHP, and B-Team were soon eliminated.

And we’re left with the five-star feud of the year, Ascension vs. Gable & Roode.

Konnor looked to have Gable on the ropes, but Roode came up behind to lob Konnor out, and Roode & Gable are Raw team captains on Sunday.

That was a silly, pointless mess.

02:51am

Oh joy, we’re getting that tag team Battle Royal again.

The winners become team captains for Sunday.

If Strowman comes out again I will explode.

02:46am

Ruby Riott and the Riott Squad are in the ring, and Ruby has started crying over why she snapped Jim Neidhart’s glasses last week.

Oh wait, it’s just a prank, bro!

Ruby turns the tables Alexa Bliss-style and launches a disrespectful verbal assault on Natalya. The ‘Queen of Harts’ tries to jump Riott from behind, but the three-on-one numbers game is too much and the Riott Squad deliver a Hart Attack to Natalya.

Insult to injury indeed.

02:33am

After his win over Team Raw member Dolph Ziggler, Finn Bálor is made the fourth member of the team by Stephanie McMahon.

Strowman, McIntyre, Ziggler, Bálor and Elias OR Lashley.

Decent.

02:28am

Finn Bálor def. Dolpg Ziggler

That was one of the best Raw matches in recent memory.

The crowd were into it, a great intensity, loads of close calls and reversals, and it was Bálor who picked up the win by countering a roll-up attempt by Ziggler into one of his own to escape with the W.

Bálor vs. McIntyre should also be fantastic when it comes around.

02:08am

Bálor says that he thought Drew crossed the line last week in humiliating Kurt Angle, to which Drew magnificently replied:

“Dignity is not a right reserved for all, buddy.”

Drew goes on to criticize Bálor for being a perfect example of the problem in WWE, being too concerned with his emotions.

The Irishman then challenges McIntyre to a match, but Drew actually volunteers Ziggler for Finn’s opponent instead. Dolph didn’t seem too pleased with that decision, mind.

Drew headbutts the first ever Universal Champion, and after the break it looks like we’ll be coming back to Dolph Ziggler vs. Finn Bálor.

02:06am

McIntyre says he was disgusted with Angle crying during their match last week, and cuts a fantastic promo explaining that Raw is his show now.

He sets out an agenda that there will be no more weakness, no more nostalgia acts… but is cut off by former Universal Champion, Finn Bálor.

The Scot attacked Finn last week after the latter had just lost his match to Bobby Lashley.

02:01am

After a replay of last week’s main event, Angle’s theme music plays but is shortly cut off by that of DOlph Ziggler and then the man who destroyed the Olympic gold medalist last week, Drew McIntyre.

The pair make their way to the ring, six nights away from representing Raw at Survivor Series.

01:55am

Up next, we’re set for a look back at last week’s main event, which commentary dubbed as the most uncomfortable match in Raw history, and possibly Kurt Angle’s last match ever, as he was absolutely dominated by Drew McIntyre.

Maybe slightly hyperbolic on Cole and Young’s part, but hey-ho!

01:52am

After a brilliant highlight package of the last few weeks between Rollins and Ambrose, the ‘Architect’ joins Corey Graves in the ring for an interview.

Rollins once again demands answers and calls Dean out, but he instead appears on the titantron sat on his car outside the arena (next to a garbage can fire because it’s really cold, the poor little munchkin).

The ‘Lunatic’ once again doesn’t give an explanation, and instead resorts to talking in riddles. He says that the burden of being part of the Shield made him weak.

He covers his old Shield gear in gasoline before throwing it into the fire, prompting Rollins to storm up the ramp in search of him.

Renee Young once again denies all knowledge of what’s going on, which just feels a bit awkward more than anything.

01:34am

Tamina def. Ember Moon

That wasn’t great.

Tamina largely dominated, and any offense that Ember could muster was thwarted by either the power of her opponent or a distraction from Nia Jax on the outside.

Moon took the fall after a Splash, and Tamina and Jax proceeded to continue the assault after the match.

Oh, and Alexa Bliss was watching because she still needs to fill the Raw women’s Survivor Series team.

Hardly inspired stuff, that. Later tonight we’ll get Bobby Lashley vs. Elias for a spot on the men’s team, and up next it’s an exclusive interview with Intercontinental Champion Seth Rollins.

01:20am

Stephanie McMahon has a moan at Strowman for not caring about representing Raw this Sunday at Survivor Series.

Steph knows that Braun is quite an important part of Raw beating SmackDown Live at Survivor Series, and the pair come to a compromise.

Should Strowman comply with Team Raw and not beat up Corbin, he gets whatever he wants. Steph agrees to allow him a future Universal Championship match, and a match against Baron Corbin.

Now Ronda Rousey is here, and she snatches Steph’s mic from her, and looks slightly angry. She says she’s motivated to defeat Becky Lynch on Sunday, but is very hostile towards Steph.

Baron Corbin comes out to cool the tempers – a sensational idea given that Braun Strowman is still there. The Acting GM followed up with yet another sensational idea, putting his hands on Ronda Rousey, who proceeds to chuck him across the ring.

Another confrontation between Corbin and Strowman, and a rather peculiar opening to Raw concludes. If that’s anything to go by, this show is going to be absolutely insane.

01:11am

Raw opens by paying to tribute to US veterans on Veterans Day, and opening the in-ring action with a tag team Battle Royal to determine Raw‘s Survivor Series captains.

Braun Strowman has turned up and is destroying everyone. Seems familiar…

The ‘Monster Among Men’ clears the ring and grabs a microphone.

What will he have to say? Probably something about murdering Baron Corbin.

Yep, I was right. Strowman calls Corbin out and says he’s not leaving the ring until the acting GM joins him. But wait, Commissioner Stephanie McMahon is here. Odds on a slap?

When I woke up today, I looked at my phone. I saw that today was November 12. I then remembered Survivor Series is on November 18, and got very confused because I thought we still had two weeks left.

Turns out we don’t, and tonight’s Raw is indeed the go-home edition for the final ‘big four’ pay-per-view of the year. This was somehow simultaneously a pleasant surprise and massive kick in the crown jewels. Get it? Because Crown Jewel? Nope, never mind then.

It should be a pretty action-packed show given that there are only six days to go, and many of the Raw teams aren’t yet sorted. Here’s what we’ve got coming up tonight:

  • Stephanie McMahon returns – she’ll probably moan about Shane winning the World Cup, and likely have a say in who joins Raw‘s traditional five-on-five teams
  • Brock Lesnar will appear on the show to address his upcoming match against WWE Champion AJ Styles in a rematch from last year, which Lesnar of course won
  • The men’s Raw team needs two more members, and the women’s and tag team teams need all five each
  • Baron Corbin will run away from Braun Strowman
  • Ronda Rousey will threaten to break Becky Lynch’s arm
  • A distinct lack of Byron Saxton
