Drew McIntyre and Sheamus vs. The Usos

With the Street Profits, Butch, Ridge Holland and some Sami Zayn shenanigans for good measure.

How did they co-exist? Not the best but victorious in the end after Drew McIntyre got the pinfall victory, securing Drew and Sheamus’ entry into the MITB match.

Pat McAfee

Pat McAfee took exception to his exchange with Bum Ass Corbin last week and just hopped on the mic to challenge him to a match at SummerSlam!!!

Max Du-PRI!

Adam Pearce needs to GET HIS ACT TOGETHER because yet again, his failure to complete his work-related tasks lead to the WWE universe being denied the privilege of meeting Max Du-PRI’s Maximum Male Models! They just requested spring water okay?! They’re just here to “titillate the juices of your guilty pleasures” which is a hilarious and ridiculous catchphrase, I think the former LA Knight is doing GREAT work on this incredibly random gimmick. If anyone can make this work it is him!

Shotzi vs. Tamina

Shotzi picking up the pinfall victory over Tamina to advance to the Money in the Bank match!

Gunther retains over Ricochet

Big squash match here and although Ricochet didn’t get a lot of offense in, he still looked good in defeat as Gunther is being booked as unstoppable.

Give WWE their flowers on this call-up – so far the tweaks from the ‘Imperium’ presentation to Gunther and Ludwig Kaiser as a duo have been actually beneficial, from the change in the color scheme of the gear (hello, foreign heel vibes! They’re wearing red! Don’t trust them!) to how much more personality Kaiser gets to show, they’ve looked like a million bucks so far on the main roster.

Ronda and Natalya Promo

Natalya in an amusing segment where the music hits and it seems like it’s Ronda Rousey, but it isn’t! It is Natalya dressed up as Ronda! Okay, I’m a sucker for these stupid segments but whatever, loved it when it was KO, love it here. Natalya continues to roll her eyes at Ronda having a baby, Ronda comes out and rolls her eyes at Natalya for “mutilating herself” for the sake of this industry’s unrealistic beauty standards (uhhh BURN! but not necessarily on Natalya…) until their face off in the ring ends in Ronda accusing Natalya of having no charisma, saying the closest she’ll ever get to the main event is dressing up like Ronda Rousey – then “nice jacket”and rips off Nattie’s jacket, Nattie throws the stroller she brought into the ring at Ronda and it was a cool visual of her getting knocked down.

The detail that had been annoying me all segment (that the stroller was a VERY lightweight, cheap travel stroller)  paid off and it is always nice to see people cutting promos face to face, I’ve appreciated the face to face time the WWE Women’s division has been getting lately (Raw had a great multi-talent lead segment as well from the women’s locker room) after the many, many tron vs. person promos from Ronda and Charlotte leading up to WrestleMania.

Sonya Deville vs. Raquel Gonzalez and Lacey Evans

Michael Cole just said he didn’t even know Sonya Deville was even back on the SmackDown roster and Pat retorts that he guantees he knows less about what is going on around the WWE locker room than he does!

While it is a “handicap match,” with Lacey and Raquel still tagging in and out to each other, first Sonya taking on Lacey before Raquel tags in for a bit, a blind tag in back from Evans as Raquel throws Sonya into Lacey, directly into the Women’s Right and Lacey Evans picks up the pinfall victory.

Her celebration with Raquel is short-lived as Sonya, Shayna Baszler and Xia Li who are at ringside attack but in the end, it is the faces standing tall as Raquel and Lacey both point skyward to the MITB briefcases as the heels retreat.

Shinsuke Nakamura vs. Sami Zayn

Shinsuke Nakamura vs. Sami Zayn in a MITB qualifying match after a funny backstage intro segment where Kayla Braxton interviews Sami about what he’s even going to do with the MITB contract… cash it in on Roman Reigns…?

After an enjoyable match with plenty of solid spots, Sami finally lands the Helluva kick to pick up the pinfall victory and the entry into MITB.
