NXT TV Tapings Live Spoilers – August 15, 2019

Good evening and welcome to our live spoiler coverage for tonight’s NXT TV tapings from Full Sail University.

Obviously if you don’t want to know spoilers, don’t read ahead.

  • Spoilers should start rolling in around 6:30pm ET/11:30pm BST – KEEP REFRESHING THIS PAGE FOR UPDATES BELOW
  • First match tonight is the Outliers (Dorian Mak & Riddick Moss) w/ Robert Stone vs. Oney Lorcan & Danny Burch
  • The Outliers have a proper entrance movie now by the looks of things (image courtesy of Jacob Cohen):

  • Oney Lorcan & Danny Burch def. The Outliers
  • The Undisputed Era come out. Adam Cole says he’s the greatest NXT Champion to ever live, and Roderick Strong says the other three guys got screwed at TakeOver and should all be champions too.
  • Strong mentions that Dream didn’t pin him at TakeOver he pinned Dunne, and they also play footage from the Tag Title match showing that the Profits pinned the illegal man. They call Regal out demanding he makes this right.
  • NXT Breakout Tournament winner Jordan Myles comes out and says that he’ll be challenging Cole for the title.
  • Damian Priest vs. Mansoor next
  • Damian Priest def. Mansoor
  • Next up is Mia Yim vs. Vanessa Borne
  • Mia Yim def. Vanessa Borne
  • NXT Women’s Champion Shayna Baszler comes out and asks Mia Yim to join the Horsewomen. Yim says no, so they beat her up until refs break it up.
  • They play a video package for Keith Lee vs. Dominik Dijakovic included some old Evolve footage as well as highlights from the match they had in NXT six months ago
  • Two Aussies clash as Bronson Reed vs. Shane Thorne is next
  • Shane Thorne def. Bronson Reed – perhaps a bit of an upset there

  • Velveteen Dream comes onto the stage on a couch and says the spotlight is now on Roddy Strong, and that he will end his dream of becoming NA Champion (above image courtesy of Jacob Cohen)
  • Coming up next is the biggest match so far in Matt Riddle vs. Killian Dain
  • Killian Dain def. Matt Riddle – pretty surprising this one as many figured Riddle could have been next for Cole. Guess it depends when the Myles match happens and Dain is the new guy on the brand
  • Dain and Riddle have another brawl after the match with the ‘Beast of Belfast’ standing tall once again. Looks like we might not have seen the end of this program
  • Next is Io Shirai vs. Cami Fields (also known as Holihead)
  • Io Shirai def. Cami Fields – after the match Shirai tried to attack Fields with a kendo stick but Candice LeRae came out to make the save
  • Up next is another big one as Keith Lee takes on Dominik Dijakovic
  • Word is – as could have probably been predicted – this match has been “INSANE”
  • Dominik Dijakovic def. Keith Lee in what was described as another classic between them. They did a top-rope Spanish Fly the maniacs
  • Horsewomen come out but straightaway are cut off by Rhea Ripley who says Shayna’s beaten everyone except her – I floated this recently that Rhea should be the one to beat Shayna, so maybe it’ll happen… The Horsewomen back away from the Aussie when she confronts them (image courtesy of Jacob Cohen):

  • Street Profits vs. Fish & O’Reilly again is announced for later tonight
  • Breezango vs. Team 3.0 (Chase Parker & Matt Martel) up next
  • Breezango def. 3.0
  • Next is Bianca Belair vs. Taynara Conti
  • Bianca Belair def. Taynara Conti
  • We have an NXT CHAMPIONSHIP match now with Cole defending against Myles who announced earlier in the tapings that he’d be using his Breakout Tourney win for this match
  • Cole beats Myles to retain the title
  • Up next it’s Damian Priest vs. Boa
  • Damian Priest def. Boa
  • Johnny Gargano comes out and the crowd chants “Johnny Wrestling” for several minutes
  • Gargano is about to reveal what the future holds for him… he says he loves everything about NXT but before he makes his announcement, he’s interrupted by Shane Thorne
  • Thorne tells Johnny that NXT will be fine without him and he’s free to leave
  • Johnny says that he ain’t going anywhere and he’s staying in NXT, then Superkicks Thorne.
  • Up next it’s Velveteen Dream vs. Kona Reeves
  • Velveteen Dream def. Kona Reeves
  • Oh… Roderick Strong has lit Dream’s couch on fire (image courtesy of Jacob Cohen):

  • Next up is Pete Dunne vs. Angel Garza… what a match that is!
  • Pete Dunne def. Angel Garza
  • Raul Mendoza vs. Cameron Grimes next
  • Look at Grimes’ new hat (image courtesy of Jacob Cohen):

  • Cameron Grimes and his hat def. Raul Mendoza
  • Shayna Baszler vs. Rhea Ripley next. Non-title by the looks of it but I’d think it could open the door for one if Ripley wins or it ends in a DQ because of the Horsewomen or something like that
  • Well I was right, the Horsewomen came out and Ripley ended up getting DQ’ed when she used a chair to fend them off
  • It’s time for the final match of tonight’s tapings as Kyle O’Reilly and Bobby Fish take on the Street Profits – Profits’ titles are on the line here!
  • WE HAVE NEW NXT TAG TEAM CHAMPIONS – O’Reilly and Fish have defeated the Street Profits! (Image courtesy of JJ Williams):

  • That wraps up tonight’s tapings. Thanks for following along with our live coverage tonight! Be sure to let us know what you thought of the results on social media.

Thanks to Jacob Cohen & JJ Williams
