LIVE SPOILERS: NXT UK Coventry Tapings

***CONTAINS SPOILERS FOR UPCOMING EPISODES OF NXT UK***

Keep refreshing this page, which will be updated throughout the evening as results come in.

  • Dark Match: Isla Dawn def. Killer Kelly
  • Ligero def. Joseph Conners
  • The Hunt (Primate & Wild Boar) def. Stoker and Howley
  • Nina Samuels def. Charlie Morgan

Crowd does not look great from this shot but it may just be the angle.

  • Jordan Devlin def. Travis Banks in a Falls Count Anywhere match.
  • Here’s a scoop: Kassius Ohno will be wrestling on the show tonight.

Here’s a better shot of the crowd:

  • Wolfgang def. Flash Morgan Webster
  • Kenny Williams & Amir Jordan vs. Tyson T-Bone & Saxon Huxley. Didn’t they do this in Blackpool already?
  • Same match, same result. Williams and Jordan win when Jordan pins Huxley.
  • A note on the Kassius Ohno news. Yes, we know he has already taped a match with WALTER over Royal Rumble Axxess that airs this coming week but he was not advertised for tonight’s event. He is in the building and he is wrestling tonight. Based on what we have been told he is doing (we understand he is defeating Ashton Smith) it sounds like he might become a semi-regular on the brand.
  • Another person who is definitely here is Noam Dar. He’s up next. At least he has a home if the talk of 205 Live’s impending demise is true.
  • Well, let’s pour further fuel on the “205 Live is doomed” fire. Noam Dar has just announced this is not a guest appearance, he is here to stay.
  • Mark Andrews interrupted Dar, kicked him, and that’s the segment. There’s your new feud.
  • Next up, Kay Lee Ray makes her NXT UK debut (although she has wrestled for WWE before the the inaugural Mae Young Classic). Tonight she is against Candyfloss. This will be a squash.
  • It was a squash.
  • Episode 3 is starting with Eddie Dennis vs Ligero. Double duty for Ligero. Well, that’s nothing new.
  • Eddie Dennis pins Ligero as Ligero’s win some/lose some streak continues.
  • Moustache Mountain do a promo saying they are wrestling at tomorrow’s tapings. Looks like they were just sent out to make sure the crowd were not unhappy about not seeing them. They’ve had a busy week this week.

  • Double duty for PCW regulars Stoker and Howley, who are out again to put over Fabian Aichner and Marcel Barthel.
  • Aichner pinned Stoker. Is anyone surprised? Crowd was not really into this at all.
  • Kassius Ohno vs. Ashton Smith is next. We already know the result . . .

  • Just to confirm, Kassius Ohno did indeed defeat Ashton Smith
  • Ohno attacks Smith after the match (which is the second time they have done this tonight as they also had Wolfgang attack FMW after their bout). Predictably the crowd cheered. They are never going to boo Ohno, especially against someone like Ashton who they have not been given any reason to care about. Strange booking.
  • Main event is Pete Dunne and WALTER vs. The Coffeys.
  • It’s still going on…
  • After a lengthy bout in which there were a few botched spots and WALTER seemingly ended up busted open hardway, the Austrian pinned Mark Coffey for the expected win.
  • Post-match, WALTER steps on Dunne’s WWE UK title as he goes to pick it up. Oh, it’s on!
  • That’s your lot folks. Join us tomorrow for the second batch of tapings.
