Here’s some proof that influencer Logan Paul had a sizeable impact on interest in WWE, with his recent world title bout.
At the November 5 WWE Crown Jewel premium live event, Logan challenged for Roman Reigns’ Undisputed WWE Universal Championship.
Several notable names from YouTube were featured in the match, including George Janko and Mike Majlak from Logan Paul’s team, and Logan’s brother Jake Paul.
Per Dave Meltzer in the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, there were 200,000 searches for Logan Paul ahead of the event.
Also pointing out that Crown Jewel was WWE’s most viewed international event ever, Meltzer wrote:
“Google searches echoed that as 300,000 would have been the highest, and 200,000 of those were for Paul so he was clearly the key to swelling of the numbers and with while maybe the gig is up with the brothers as far as expensive PPV shows, the concept of Logan going for the title in a low-cost show was a big success.”
Paul unfortunately suffered a serious knee injury during the bout. Check out the latest update on Logan Paul’s injury right here.
