An update has emerged regarding Logan Paul and his status for WrestleMania 39 following injuries suffered at WWE Crown Jewel.
Paul initially said after his match with Roman Reigns on November 5 that it was believed he’d suffered a torn meniscus, torn MCL, and potentially a torn ACL.
However, according to Dave Meltzer in today’s (November 18) Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Paul’s injuries may not be as grave as initially feared.
Meltzer wrote:
“Regarding his injuries, they were not as bad as feared. He suffered a torn MCL and torn meniscus doing the splash off the top rope through a table in the match with Reigns, but did not suffer an ACL tear.
“It is believed he is avoiding surgery and just doing rehab so his recovery team would give him plenty of time to get ready for WrestleMania.”
Paul lost his match against Reigns, but the bout between the two was critically acclaimed.
The match was only Paul’s third in WWE.
His first took place at WrestleMania 38, in a tag team with The Miz against the team of Dominik Mysterio and his father Rey Mysterio, which Paul and Miz won
His second came at SummerSlam 2022, in a singles match against former partner The Miz, which Paul won, meaning he was undefeated heading into the Reigns match.
Logan Paul recently revealed he’d suggested to Paul Levesque (Triple H) the idea of a match with John Cena at WrestleMania 39.
