Long Absent WWE Star Signs New Contract

Long Absent WWE Star Signs New Contract WWE

A long-absent WWE star has announced that he’s signed a new contract with the company.

Last competing for WWE in the Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal in April 2024, the status of WWE’s Omos has long been the subject of speculation among fans.

With The Nigerian Giant recently saying that he’s just “patiently waiting” to make his return to television, he has now shared a huge update on his WWE future during an interview with Gambling Industry News.

When asked for a general update on how he’s been doing, Omos revealed that he signed a new contract with WWE that will keep him with the company for “years to come”:

“Things are going very well. Can’t complain. I’m really excited about what is to come.

“I’ve been training really hard and working on some new things and I think it’s going to be a really fun ride ahead, especially because I just signed a renewal with WWE and will be there for years to come!”

After only wrestling two televised matches in 2024, Omos made the surprising move to Pro Wrestling NOAH at the beginning of 2025, competing in seven matches total in January, including capturing the GHC Tag Team Championships along with Jack Morris in his debut match at NOAH New Year 2025.

During the same interview Omos was asked about his experience in NOAH, saying he felt like he “needed” to go to Japan for his own “personal and mental health”.

Omos said:

“Yes, that was phenomenal, man. I was going through a little bit of a pause, just waiting around.

“I needed to go to Japan and I ended up finding myself as a performer and I needed to go to Japan for my personal and mental health. It was really good to go there and just kind of have this fresh restart again.”

We will provide further updates on Omos’ return to WWE programming as/when any more updates become available.
