Lucha Brothers Reuniting In WWE Update

Lucha Brothers Reuniting In WWE Update WWE/AEW

An update has emerged on Penta and Rey Fenix of the Lucha Brothers reuniting in WWE, following both stars’ debuts as singles stars.

Despite winning championship gold all over the world as a tag-team, Penta and Fenix arrived in WWE separately, with Penta wrestling on the January 13 Raw episode, and Fenix debuting for the SmackDown brand on April 4.

With many fans anticipating the brothers’ in-ring reunion, an update has emerged on WWE’s stance on the Lucha Brothers.

When asked about the Lucha Brothers on Fightful Select, Sean Ross Sapp noted that a source “associated with the creative” told him that they thought both Penta and Fenix were capable of generating buzz as singles stars, making it a big moment whenever they do reunite.

Sapp added that he believes they will “absolutely” come together in WWE at some point.

The duo last wrestled together on the July 19, 2024 (taped July 17, 2024) AEW Rampage episode, defeating Isiah Kassidy & Marq Quen of Private Party.

Both Penta and Fenix made their WrestleMania debuts at WrestleMania 41, with Penta competing in the Intercontinental Championship fourway bout, and Fenix replacing an injured Rey Mysterio against El Grande Americano.

Penta recently addressed the possibility of a reunion with his brother Rey Fenix, which you can read more about right here.
