This week’s Lucha Underground intro focused on Joey Ryan possibly forming an alliance with XO Lishus and Ivelisse, Pentagon Dark beating Hernandez in last week’s title match, Catrina dumping Mil and getting ‘killed’ by Mil after a brawl with Melissa Santos, and Aerostar using the Kamehameha wave to travel in time and shoot the life back into Fenix.
This week’s episode was titled “Pet Cemetery”.
The show opens with a title match as El Dragon Azteca Jr. defends the Gift of the Gods championship against Ivelisse. The red headed beauty puts up a valiant effort, but Azteca Jr wins with a second rope leg drop.

After the match, XO Lishus, who’s with Joey Ryan, asks a visibly frustrated Ivelisse to join her him and the sleazy one for the quest to capture the Lucha Underground Trios championships next week. Ivelisse accepts and a Trios championship match is set for next Wednesday.
Next, Melissa Santos introduces King Cuerno to the ring. However, Antonio Cueto comes out and makes a #1 contender’s match for the Lucha Underground championship next week. Cuerno’s opponent turns out to be his mortal enemy, Mil Muertes. The two go back and forth in a slugfest, but the match ends in a DQ when both Mil and Cuerno shove the referee. The rivals continue the fight around the arena until Cueto comes out and announces a Triple Threat match next week between Mil Muertes, King Cuerno, and Pentagon Dark for the Lucha Underground Championship.
As @Matt_Striker_ said, we don’t have a lot of disqualifications in #LuchaUnderground Throwing referee @Marty67Elias into the stands? That’ll do it. pic.twitter.com/uu3xhALFdJ

Finally in the main event, The Reptile Tribe defend their Lucha Underground Trios championships against the return of the Lucha Super Friends.
Jake Strong comes out and being the genius that he is, challenges all three men for the Lucha Underground Trios titles because he doesn’t need partners due to him being a wrestler, and according to Strong, a wrestler will always beat a luchador.
Then the match begins, but Fenix has notably gone to the dark side with his all black attire. The match was a fun excerise in lucha wrestling, but the story is about Fenix not being himself after returning from the dead. In the end, Fenix superkicks his partner Aerostar and hits him with his finisher, the Kinniku Buster Driver. Callihan takes advantage and pins Aerostar.

Santos tries to talk to Fenix, but he shoves her away and leaves.
The closing moment in the show is a cinematic with Marty the Moth Martinez bribing Antonio Cueto to get a shot at the Gift of the Gods title. Cueto grants Marty the title match, but Marty takes out some more cash and tosses it to Cuerto, who questions what the money is for. Marty says, “There’s something else that I want” and the show ends with that dramatic cliffhanger.
