After Cora Jade pulled a Madusa on tonight’s July 19 edition of NXT 2.0, the legend herself has responded!
Taking to Twitter, the former Alundra Blayze/Madusa commented on the promo, re-tweeting WWE’s clip of the show and adding the caption:
“Great promo… #coraismoney ???@CoraJadeWWE @WWENXT @WWEUniverse”
After cutting a promo about why she turned on her partner Roxanne Perez, Jade started to leave the ring with belt in hand.
Still moving with her microphone, Jade said that the title didn’t mean anything to her anymore, clarifying that the naive Cora Jade of the past is gone and the ‘generation of Jade’ had only just begun because she “is wired just a little bit differently lately,” and then committed a professional wrestling sin.
Jade channeled Madusa circa 1995 (a solid six years before Cora Jade’s birth) and tossed her championship belt in the garbage can at ringside.
For those who don’t remember, Madusa who was known as Alundra Blayze in WWE and famously appeared on WCW Nitro, throwing her at the time, WWF Women’s Championship title belt in a trash can on the air.
