Main Roster Championship To Be Defended On WWE NXT

A main roster championship is set to be defended on WWE NXT with a title match set for next week’s episode.

Over the past few months, SmackDown’s Chelsea Green has been making appearances on NXT television alongside North American Champion Ethan Page, with the pair forming an alliance and capturing the AAA Mixed Tag Team Championship.

Chelsea defeated Giulia to capture the Women’s United States Championship on SmackDown last month, and she is now set to defend the championship on NXT.

At WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event, Sol Ruca scored the victory over Bayley in an NXT vs. WWE exhibition match on the show, and her victory has put her in championship contention.

On tonight’s WWE NXT show, Chelsea Green made an appearance to stand alongside Ethan Page, who will defend his North American Championship against TNA’s Moose on the December 30 episode of the show.

NXT General Manager Ava then told Chelsea that she will defend the Women’s United States Championship next week on NXT against Sol Ruca.
