Main Roster Star Loses Championship On WWE NXT

A WWE main roster star lost their championship in a title match on tonight’s episode of WWE NXT television.

Back in May, El Grande Americano, then portrayed by Chad Gable, defeated Dragon Lee to capture the WWE Speed Championship.

Since Gable’s injury at Money In The Bank, El Grande Americano has been portrayed by Ludwig Kaiser, with Kaiser continuing El Grande Americano’s reign as the WWE Speed Champion.

The Men’s and Women’s Speed Championships were moved over to the NXT brand back in September, and a tournament recently took place to determine the number one contender for El Grande Americano’s championship, which was won by Jasper Troy.

On tonight’s episode of WWE NXT, El Grande Americano, accompanied by Rayo and Bravo, defended the title against Jasper Troy, with Jasper picking up the win to capture his first championship in his WWE career.

The Women’s Speed Championship was recently vacated due to an injury suffered by Sol Ruca, with a tournament currently ongoing to determine the new champion, with Zaria facing off with either Skylar Raye or Fallon Henley at Gold Rush for the vacant belt.
