Kenny Omega & Young Bucks Threatening To Leave AEW After CM Punk Rant Following All Out? AEW

UPDATE – It has been rumored that there was a fight backstage involving CM Punk and members of the Elite following Punk’s comments – read more at this link.

It appears several major AEW names may be threatening to leave the company after comments made by CM Punk in the All Out media scrum.

UPDATE – Fightful Select has now reported additional details, noting that the Young Bucks and Kenny Omega were “extremely pissed off” about Punk’s comments, and one talent that Fightful heard from claimed that the EVPs were threatening to leave the company.

The report adds that the Elite were actually scheduled to be part of the scrum, but “an adjustment was made”, and around the same time a member of the security team left the scrum area “in a hurry”. It’s unknown for sure if they’re linked, but the info came in at the same time.

Original Story

CM Punk had some very, very scathing words for the AEW EVPs (the Young Bucks and Kenny Omega), Adam Page and Colt Cabana in the scrum – you can find his full comments for context at this link.

In a follow-up to Punk’s comments, Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful tweeted:

There’s some big heat already on CM Punk from his comments at the AEW post-show scrum.

A couple of talent were told that some very important names were pissed off and threatening to walk out over this.

There was nothing worked about Punk’s comments and the situation backstage in AEW, but we’ll have to see if the story about the threatened walkouts turns out to be true.

We will of course let you know as soon as updates emerge. Again, Punk’s full comments in the media scrum can be found at this link.
