It has been a long time since we have seen Riho on AEW Dynamite. While it has been reported lately that she would be making her return to the promotion soon, few details have been available.
Now, All Elite Wrestling has announced that she will be part of the AEW Women’s Championship Eliminator tournament. They did not say when the match would take place but she will be facing Serena Deeb.

Riho has been unable to appear in AEW since the beginning of the pandemic due to travel restrictions. She was the first AEW Women’s World Champion, winning the title on the first episode of Dynamite. She ultimately lost the title to Nyla Rose in February, shortly before the pandemic forced her to return to Japan.
The winner of the AEW Women’s Championship Eliminator Tournament will get a title match against AEW Women’s Champion Hikaru Shida. This may be the opportunity Riho needs to reclaim the title she lost almost a year ago.
We will provide any update on Riho’s return to AEW as soon as more details become available.
