With a WWE Draft reportedly coming our way in October, it’s possible that we could be getting a brand switch for a major championship.
On Friday’s episode of SmackDown, Roman Reigns revealed Paul Heyman as his new manager. If the latest reports are accurate, Reigns is set to win the Universal Title tonight and be positioned as the top heel on the blue brand.
Paul Heyman’s presence here is notable due to his relationship with AJ Styles. Styles moved from Raw to SmackDown a few months ago when Heyman was still executive director of Raw after the two reportedly had a falling out.
With that said, it’s very likely either Reigns or Styles is going to be moving to Raw so Styles and Heyman can be separated once more. Styles would seem the more likely and logical of the two, but with WWE you never know, so we could end up with Reigns taking the Universal Championship back to Raw.
The above is purely speculation based on the past events between Styles and Heyman. Styles moving to Raw would mean Reigns stays where he’s the top heel and WWE Champion Drew McIntyre would have a fresh heel challenger in Styles if he still has the title at that point, so if this does result in a move, that’s probably the most likely.
