A major championship rematch has been announced for next weekend’s WWE Night of Champions event in Saudi Arabia.
On last week’s SmackDown show, Asuka made her first appearance on WWE television since WrestleMania 39, where she attacked Raw Women’s Champion Bianca Belair.
The return came after reports had emerged that WWE was considering a heel turn for the Empress of Tomorrow, and a potential championship match between the two at Night of Champions.
WWE today officially announced the WrestleMania rematch between Bianca and Asuka for next weekend’s show in Jeddah.
The show is set to feature three huge matches, with Seth ‘Freakin’ Rollins facing AJ Styles to determine the inaugural new World Heavyweight Champion, Cody Rhodes taking on Brock Lesnar and Roman Reigns & Solo Sikoa challenging Kevin Owens & Sami Zayn for the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championship.
The show will also feature a major women’s grudge match between Becky Lynch and Trish Stratus.
Bianca Belair recently passed 400 days as the Raw Women’s Champion, making her the longest reigning women’s champion of the modern era.
